I love Flogging Molly and this is one of my favorite songs. I listen to it very regularly and the more I listen to it the more I tell myself that it doesn't refer to physical death. I get the impression that he's talking about breaking up with someone and claiming that if he manages to get out of this relationship, he'll still be there if she finds herself in a difficult situation. Is my interpretation wrong?

I have long gone insane, listening to the same songs, expecting different results. I haven't left the Earth, and it is just starting to get weird. People stole all my planes jets and rockets, cars, trucks, vans, rvs, buses, tanks, trains and anything I could escape Earth with, to go to the moon and have a view from above the Earth. To spare everyone my pain and misery and suffering they never wanted, but stole anyway.

Perhaps someone won’t like what I say, but what I see in Irish boys in films, videos and clips, etc., I see in myself, You guys show honor, hard work and telling big brother to fuck off. Well done!!!!

My husband passed away on Dec.1/23. We always loved this song. So it was played at his reception. His God daughter and her husband also played this on fiddle at the reception. Love it so!

I wish the musical instruments would be a couple decibels lower. That’s the only thing wrong with this song. Less rock and more vocals. That’s what ruined Styx. Too much drums.
