1:55 See Keiko looking towards Kajiura and smiling. When Kajiura returns with a grin, Keiko seems to feel a little shy/embarrassed and turns towards Kaori; maybe she was feeling emotional because she touches her eye as if wiping away a tear. That was a touching interaction. 2:06 Keiko and Kaori turn to Konno Hitoshi on the violin and notice how Kaori (and immediately) Keiko both start to dance with the groove rather than just swaying as they'd been doing. Nice transition to give attention and connection to the solo/music. This is why I say Keiko was often attentive of responsive to Kaori's movements and vibe in this live. It's part of that sisterly tendency I think Keiko naturally exhibits, which reflects in her capacity to duet/harmonize with guest singers (LiSA, Aimer, etc), by adapting to their movements as well as their vocals. 2:11 Yuriko Kaida seems influenced also and starts to dance more intentionally instead of just swaying, while Wakana smiles and starts to move more with that head movement side to side. Kaori totally changed the singers' energy on stage! 3:45 Giving attention to Korenaga Koichi's solo. 4:03 As Kaori and Keiko go on a total dance off to Korenaga's playing, Wakana has this cute/funny head toss dance she's doing! She definitely improved in her dancing cues as the years went by. I personally think Kaori's presence in these early years influenced the others to be more expressive and engaging with the audience (just my thought from this first live) in a deliberate way, since she was so good at that being so young. See how she kept gazing into the audience.

3:22 My favorite part of the song as they all come in singing the same words so it’s powerful. 4:18 This part too, with the voices together. ❤ 5:50 The voices, the slowdown led by the drums, and Kaori’s charisma and tracking the drum’s final heavy hit with her hand movement. Kaori loves performing. No shyness it seems.

Kaori's charisma is all over the stage and made this performance more memorable than it might have been otherwise.

I absolutely love the little head nod Kaori does at 1:23 It's like she's really in the rhythm and charismatic in getting the audience immersed.

Yeah that head movement was so cute like she was really telling them the lyrics. Kaori is really good at that kind of audience interaction - she's the best of this group.
still beautiful! 'Key of the Twilight' also is so good!

ahhh how i miss young Kaori. She, along with Keiko, was so cheerful and high-spirited, contrast to the calm anego Yuriko Kaida. she was also high-spirited in Sanhora's Roman...... the last time i remember seeing Kaori, she wasn't this cheerful, both in YK live and in Sanhora's live. well i didn't check her solo works yet....

What happened to kaori?
@TheSeeking2know Жыл бұрын
Kaori was a ball of energy and expression. Very Charismatic and had the vocal chops to back it up. I wonder where she's from in Japan. Her work in Sound Horizon is what made me know her quality as a performer and vocalist, when on the same stage as heavyweights like REMI, RIKKI, Mari Endou, Haruka Shimotsuki, and MIKI Masuda (my personal favorite). I realized she was much more than just the belter in Fiction Junction. Revo's vocal requirements are a bit more demanding in terms of stamina, role playing, character work, vocal range and stylistic / genre variance for each singer. Yuki Kajiura's work is more complex harmonically. I mean Kaori singing virtually the whole of "The Endia Knights" (not sure if that's the correct name, or at least all the leads ALL BY HERSELF, was a great feat on its own. Her magnus opus in my view is her performance of "Miezaru Ude”. She explored her range and dynamics and expression in an all-out energetic performance.

Something happens to Kaori's voice when she sings the "tion'' bits in "redemption" and "emotion" at 1:12 and 1:32 that makes her sound eerily like Wakana.. ;) I just adore how versatile she is.. :)
@TheSeeking2know4 жыл бұрын
You are right! Kaori was having fun with her vocal tone in that entire vocal line, just switching and modifying her vowels. That's why I enjoy her doing separate dual-harmonies with Keiko (low notes and weighty belts), light and fragile high notes with Yuriko Kaida, and now she mimics Wakana too. I still say that my favorite 3-part harmony in FJ is Yurioo-Keiko-Kaori, because of the blend.
