Shane is a fantastic guitarist, and his humorous lyrics remind me of songs Merle Travis wrote, like "So Round, So Firm, So Fully Packed" and "When My Baby Double-Talks to Me"

This was absolutely fascinating, informative and entertaining. That must have been Queen Mary you mentioned - I didn't know that! I'm astonished she was even aware of clogging in England. I'm an English folk musician but dabble in Old Time music. I'm playing clawhammer banjo now, and learned some flatfooting from Ira Bernstein when he was over here doing some workshops years ago. I can only aspire to your level of dancing and playing. Thank you so much!

Jimmy Driftwood came to Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas around the late seventies and I provided the PA system at Tucker coliseum for the Driftwood show. I was blown away by Jimmy and his fellow band mates; they were great! I've loved the simple instruments they played that night and the simpler times of music they brought with them! Jimmy played the guitar that he had made himself. They were an American Treasure right in my own back yard!!

I heard this song in passing, loved it and sent it to my husband to listen to, and a full week later started singing it to myself and pulled it up to listen again... and having forgotten that I sent it to my husband, resent it. ❤ Brings the Smoky Mountains and contra dancing of my youth right back to me.

Music & lyrics by Sarah Kate Morgan Will you go dancing with me my darling? Will you go swinging, all through the night? And will you go dancing with me my darling? I’ll make it hard for you to say goodbye. I’ll see you swinging with your neighbor. Makes me want to make you mine. If there’s a better dancer in this whole county, Oh, I’d be hard pressed for to find. Will you go dancing with me my darling? Will you go swinging, all through the night? And if you go dancing with me this evening, I’ll make it hard for you to say goodbye. Girls keep your partners on your left side. Gents keep your darlings on your right. And if you stumble just keep on a smiling And everything will turn out right. Will you go dancing with me my darling? Will you go swinging, all through the night? And if you go dancing with me this evening, I’ll make it hard for you to say goodbye. I see you waltzing with a stranger While I’m sitting on the side. But when you asked me to dance the last one it was the best part of the night. Will you go dancing with me my darling? Will you go swinging, all through the night? And if you go dancing with me this evening, I’ll make it hard for you to say goodbye. I’ll make it hard for you to say goodbye.

Thanks for posting this show. I have really been into bluegrass/appalachian music lately. The historical value of the tune is something special that, as an American, I have a need in my heart to hear and to play. Rock on 🎉
