I believe all the times I've been back to Chasm Lake, that same snow patch has been there...perhaps not as deep. Rule of thumb: If you don't feel you can finish a hike, don't finish it. You errored on the side of safety. There used to be a sign at that trailhead that I wish was still there. It said, "The mountain does not care." That's Longs Peak for sure. Maybe another day.

The mountain, indeed, does not care. I wasn't about to do something I wasn't comfortable with. I know I don't have the skills to hike Longs Peak and that's OKAY with me. For now, I do the hikes that I can do and enjoy the views along the way. Thank you for commenting!

This appears to be a good tour because your actually able to see what is going on, on the floor. Lot of breweries I have visited have been museums with just a sample floor, but you aren't allowed in to see the actual production area.

Hi Daniel! Thank you so much for commenting! We're still expanding our car camping gear. For this specific trip we packed foods that wouldn't spoil like peanut butter and tuna (we didn't eat them together 😬). We had a cooler with ice packs with us for the weekend. It lasted quite well in 80-90F heat. We've been looking at possibly doing a fridge that plugs into the rear 12V socket or Jackery

Hi @delwinelder2116! It is a little taller than a deck of cards (4.5 x 2.7 x 1.1 inches) when folded. When unfolded, it is 63 x 44 inches. On the back side, it has lines/stitches you can follow for how to fold it back up. I wish more companies did that, because it is super helpful. Then at the corners of blanket, it has little one inch metal tabs that you could push it into the ground. It typically lives in my (Adam's) hiking backpack. Hi UncleFjester! Car camping setups are super personal. We've spent the last three and a half years either sleeping in our car (Luno Life mattress) or on top of our (ikamper skycamp mini). This table allows us to expand our home base. It gives us a convenient place to quickly setup a table and have flat surface when there might not be one available. It also doesn't take up a lot of space. We also have a 4 ft folding table if we need the extra space, with four legs. It comes down to, what works for your setup. After using a folding table for three and a half years, it is nice to have the additional space in a small footprint.
