do you know any haqq al-yaqin live performance?
@magusking9215 Жыл бұрын
Nope. It would be great to have a live version but it would probably require a lot more musicians for it not to sound corny and keyboard heavy which wouldn’t do it justice. They would probably need a string Octet or something.

I'm, not fond of papa without the undead mask/makeup. Imo it's a big part of the whole show.
@magusking92152 жыл бұрын
Yes, Papa II was my favorite in terms of look, he was scarier but still with a cool sense of humor. But then the music evolved ( it's not as dark anymore ) and so the look had to evolve as well. But I have to say Impera is by far my favorite Ghost album. All their records have great songs. But Impera is like a 9/10 ( I hate Hunter's Moon... too gimmicky )

Let me start off by saying that im not a huge fan of the meaning behind their lyrics as it seems overly satanic BUT that being said MAN DO THEY PUT ON A HELL OF A GOOD SHOW and i cant stop but banging my head along with the music they are really good plain and simple
@magusking92152 жыл бұрын
Indeed, and I think they keep getting better and better.
@magusking92152 жыл бұрын
As for their lyrics, around Meliora they started to introduce more Fremasonry related lyrics and videos. The most obvious being "Square Hammer", but also the video for 'From The Pinnacle To The Pit" ...etc Up to the new album Impera.
@edwardelric50192 жыл бұрын
Same. I can relate. I don't listen to their songs that are overly satanic like Year Zero. But I enjoy the rest.
@Somawesomestuff2 жыл бұрын
Year Zero is about the apocalypses and how Satan and his demons will torment the earth and wage war against God and his angels

Epic! Who's on bass + sax?
@magusking92152 жыл бұрын
You know I had no clue whatsoever, had to dig on his Instagram so I know the sax player is called Ian Roller and Zephyr Avalon is on Bass. At least those are the artist names they go by, don't know if those are their real names. Saw Josh at Ace Theater when Intervals played there before Animals As Leaders and I know he also plays often at The Baked Potato. When there's a new Victoria show in town I'll be sure to go.

@magusking92152 жыл бұрын
Yeah he botched that one, but again, that's the year Sleep had to cancel most of their tour so he could fix his foot which would otherwise have to be amputated because of Diabetes. He must have been on a whole lot of MarijuanaAND prescription drugs.... Glad he's still around kicking it, love that dude.

@@magusking9215 yea it was an epic performance, though I could hardly hear Tyler the whole show, and the vocals were way too low. Whoever was the sound engineer was mmm not great. The vibe of the place and the crowd was 🤌. I thought the whole set was fantastic. Did you happen to catch the opener Zombi? I was actually impressed and I didn't think I would be. Oh and a new album from OM next year 🤘
@jakeqwaninne85022 жыл бұрын
i like the studio stuff, but the live show isn't very visually stunning ,and that guitar player isn't very polished,, ya not something i'm go to see live i think
@magusking92152 жыл бұрын
Well there's off nights with any band. I understand what you mean re not very polished. But Matt Pike is an awesome and legendary guitar player. He also had some health issues that kinda peaked that same year. This is a really small town in France. When they play bigger shows they have a screen with projections... but with Sleep it's really all about the sound and loudness Live.
@qubiskus2 жыл бұрын
well, the thing with watching live performances on the youtube is that you'll find many bands that sound 'not very polished', it's just that videos don't make the justice to the sounds/overall vibe of the concert, if you like loud, heavy, riff-oriented music then you should definitely check out Sleep live, I saw them like 10 years ago in Poland, seen live many heavy bands since then but Sleep's gig is by far my favourite thanks to the sound quality/loudness/heaviness :)
