Thanks for sharing your expert insights with everyone! Many will continue to look to you and Jane as she continues to break American records!

010125 Happy New Year! Thanks again for your very well done videos that discreetly showcase Jane, but also reveal much about the entire social life and culture of the sport. Very well done. I appreciate how you try to give everyone her due. For me this presages the near future, when these fabulous runners emerge as the next flight or class into collegiate, and increasingly, international racing. Think about it: Jane, Sadie, Beth, and so many others will be college seniors when the next Olympics rolls around.Think about how there are a few dozen girls who could blow the doors off NCAA cross and track in the next several years. Also, I believe we're all living in the House that Katelyn Built. Don't forget: KT won NXN in '17, '18 'and '19, and a lot of girls became believers.

Jane is on another level. Fortunately, Utah has depth of talent from world-class coaches and culture. NXN showed that the Utah tradition continues.

NXR Northwest is for AK - HI - ID - MT - OR - WA - WY teams. Did the NXR Southwest race not have a middle school race?
@rrc25 күн бұрын
Correct, unfortunately they don’t have a middle school race. Utah should be part of the Northwest. Otherwise, Southwest feels like a national championship with Utah, Colorado, New Mexico. Fortunately, there are a couple wildcard team entries for Southwest teams. It is a 5-6 Hour drive for most of Utah up to Boise, but a 10 Hour drive to Arizona.
@robogarden572325 күн бұрын
@@rrc - It was a 10 hour drive for us from WY. I feel the pain on the driving part. Would be good to separate the genders for next year if we have 300+ participants IMO. As a side note, one of our girls finished in the top 5 in the Boise race and about 30 seconds faster in the USATF Nationals race in Indiana (December). The Boise course is brutal!
@rrc25 күн бұрын
@@robogarden5723 there hasn’t been a national championship in the West for youth since 2016 USATF in Reno, NV. I’d love to see a regular Middle School national championship as a dedicated event, maybe mid-November.
@rrc25 күн бұрын
@@robogarden5723 congrats to your runner! That’s fantastic that she finished 30 seconds faster.

I don't like the look of the fieldhouse, I always liked being able to glance across the track. It seems like running in a tunnel. I wonder how often runners collide with people not paying attention to where they are going.
@rrcАй бұрын
The positive is that it is a 320m track. The Olympic oval in SLC is much better for track meets and is an oversized 440m track around an ice skating Interior. Plenty of H2O to keep the air humid and a bit on the chilly side.

True. If you've ever hung out in the Smithfield house it's always loud and hard to hear. Would be great to get some sound paneling on the ceilings or something there.

Hilarious that any byu student can’t wear flip flopsnor shorts or tank top on campus but the exception is their athletes that are treated better than the gods in Provo. I’m fine with it, but it’s funny hearing a byu Mormon trying to justify why they wear that and they can’t, and why their athletes are worshipped so much. The justification is real. They don’t even try to hide it. They immediately start verbally replying
