Having learned from last time, I'm gonna add my thoughts here in the comments: I Like Me Better: It's so light and cute???? Like both of them. I really like the transition between their hands in the Vanitas part and I shall forever to weak to Josee ♥My only change to these parts would be a different transition overlay and maybe some brightness adjustment Somebody To You: This one was so hard. I wasn't really big on the song and my lyrics were quite dark considering it was a light month for OS, but I'm glad I got to edit with Kana. I really love her so much! I do think the way I used to overlay unfortunately gives the part a flatness that wasn't intended, so that'd be something I'd do differently. Monsters: Josee once again!!!! I love her so much and the happy moments of this movie just come so easily to me to edit. It's a great movie and you should totally watch it if you haven't. I cried! They are so cute! If I was to redo it, I'd probably use a different clip at the end, but I don't know which one. Mistake: The RWBY part is super old now and I am honestly still surprised at how well it works? I'm super fond of it and I honestly think it's some of my better work regarding scene choices. A shame about RoosterTeeth closing down. That's really sad. But if volume 9 is the last RWBY volume, then I'm glad it got to end on its best season yet. As for the LHJC part I was super apprehensive about starting it, but then the dub dropped and I rewatched and suddenly I had the motivation to do this part. Again, if you know the context, the scenes are actually so spot on for the lyrics and I really appreciate that. I sincerely hope for a season 2 (a dub dropping has gotten my hopes up). I really love this novel and the upcoming arc is just so good imo!!!! I really hope they'll give me Bixia in a tracksuit and Bixia not carrying about death spells and just regrowing his head??? I truth, I just want more Bixia, though I do wonder how they'll handle how gay the next arc is???? Season 2 pleaseeeeeee Stupid Cupid: I think the idea for this one was great, but the execution wasn't there. I was probably closing in on the deadline and the show hadn't finished airing yet and the part was very short, so I didn't have a lot to work with, but really those are all excuses. I really need to learn time management. Can You Hear Me?: I reedited this part so many times. The show was still airing I think, and I just couldn't get it to be what I wanted. I would probably have picked a different anime to work with if I was doing it again, but it was very nice to get to edit with Kana again ♥ Pretty Devil: I really do love this part. I had a lot of fun with it and it is part of the start of Neimi's recent fixation with songs with the word devil in them (Pretty Devil, Devil's Lullaby, The Devil Doesn't Bargain). I really do think the part turned out good and the theme and song really do fit Jin Guangyao and my very appreciative feelings towards his character XDD JGYDIDNOTHINGWRONG Shot In The Dark: The MEP was supposed to just be grey, but I had accidentally forgotten that so while the version in the MEP is grey, this is the original form of it. I had lofty plans, but the part was too short and I couldn't make a squiggling doodle over the guy at 2:32 's face work, and as always, time management just isn't a skill I've mastered. Devil's Lullaby: This has been a struggle as of late, but I can't seem to make my pans and zooms work as I want them too. They are either too much or too little and these particular projects were HEAVY given the many animations. I think the last one suffers the most from this trend and I'd probably adjust those if I ever felt like touching these again, but they've been very hard to get done due to editor's block. Luckily the Magi part was a freebe as I had all the animations lying around, ready to be used. I had to do a lot of redrawing for the Vanitas and the D.Gray-Man parts and that last panel was killing me XDD Bones: I need to finish Vinland Saga season 2. I think my biggest gripe with this part is that it's just clips from the opening, but in my defense, this OP has some fantastic visuals to work with as an editor. While watching the episodes that have this OP, I'd never allow my brother to skip it, I loved it so much. Weddings & Funerals: This part turned out nothing like how I imagined it would, but I also really do like how it ended up being. It did remind me that I should return to my GOSICK amv with this song that I have in the works, but alas, editors block is still around and I think I should stick to something I have more inspiration for. There isn't much I'd change about this one, though it probably wouldn't have turned out like this if I were to do it today. Ssik tsrif ym: Not really sure what to say? I think it speaks for itself Color It: Any chance to edit Matchablossom!!! I honestly have no issues with this part and I really appreciate how it turned out. It was the first instance of me using a new transition method that I also use in Dancing With Your Ghost. I really like it and it comes across nicely in this part too. Very soft. GODS: So I was editing this the day before the deadline, but now the deadline has been moved I honestly would like to go in and change it because it's really not good. I'm just not sure what I'd do instead. I've said it before and I'll say it again, editor's block. It's been really bad through January and February. So Cold: I love Link Click. It is such a good show and I can't wait for season 3! I honestly didn't expect to like it as much as I did and really, it was very different from what I'd thought it'd be. I shall forever thank the dub and those who uploaded a highlight reel that made me interested enough to give it a go. Ah, but this has nothing to do with the part. This part also suffers from what I mentioned in Devil's Lullaby. I'm struggling with making my movement right and so I sometimes think the bit of typography is really bad and other times it's just right. I might just be hypercritical Take Me Home: I'm gonna be honest. This song gives me a headache (a literal one). I don't know why, but I guess I have is that the tone she hits at the dragged out homes is just a pitch my brain doesn't vibe with. This is sad though, because I otherwise really do like the song. But that headache has definitely affected by feel of the part. I tried to make my own transition for it and it's not one I'm fond of, but I'm glad I got to edit for Shelly and that it was with Chise and Elias. Those two are so incredibly entertaining together. GIMME GIMME GIMME: This one was so much fun to edit. I suppose I fall into the serious parts edited for this one, but I'm really pleased with the turn out, but someone needs to take my masking powers from me. I use them for silly matters. this part is technically inspired by my part from Neimi's ILLELLA MEP from the last collections, though sadly that MEP fell through. It was when I was editing this part that I think I started to forgive Magi for what it became at the end, and though I won't forget, I will definitely be editing with Magi again going forward (technically I edited this one before the GODS one) Suckerpunch: The newest of these parts, despite not being placed last XDD I ended up realizing that if I place the clips at 5:25 - 5:28, it could sorta pass for a proposal and I definitely used that in my newest AMV XDD It's definitely a combination of clips that I will be using in the future as well. I really do like this part a lot and it's definitely in the top five of parts in this collection, only surpassed by the RWBY one and this next one, Dancing With Your Ghost. Dancing With Your Ghost: Probably one of the best things I've ever edited to be honest and it almost didn't happen. I was struck once again by editor's block and even gave up on trying with Apothecary Diaries, but when I drew a blank on what to use instead, I came back to it and while I'd originally made a custom scene for part of this one, I ended up not using them. This is also where I got the idea for my Ghost of You AMV I uploaded yesterday. I'm super pleased with this part and I really do think I've outdone myself with this one. PHEW I made it through. I have cramps in my arms and I'm absolutely exhausted, so I'm off to bed now. I hope you all enjoy this collection ♥
