Leaving a meaningful and supportive comment on a hardworking Australian KZbin channel dedicated to working on cars can be a great way to connect with the content creator and fellow car enthusiasts. Here’s a thoughtful, 800-word comment you can post: Hey mate! I just wanted to take a moment to give you a huge shoutout for the incredible work you’re doing on this channel. As an Aussie who loves getting my hands dirty working on cars, it’s really inspiring to see the dedication, passion, and knowledge you put into each video. It’s clear that you’re not only passionate about cars but also about sharing that passion with others, and that’s something really special. There’s just something about working on cars that brings people together, and your channel really embodies that sense of community. I’ve been following your content for a while now, and it’s amazing to see how far you’ve come, both in terms of the quality of your videos and the depth of the work you do. Whether it’s tackling a full engine rebuild, diagnosing some tricky electrical issue, or even doing those routine maintenance jobs that every car owner should know, you approach it all with a sense of enthusiasm and a clear love for what you do. And let’s be honest, cars can be bloody frustrating sometimes! But your calm approach, even when things go sideways, is something I really admire. What I love most about your channel is that you’re not afraid to show the nitty-gritty details of working on cars. Whether it’s the long hours spent under the bonnet, the unexpected problems that pop up, or just the pure satisfaction of seeing a project come together, your videos capture the full experience. It’s easy to forget how much work goes into maintaining and fixing cars, especially when a lot of people only see the end result. But you show the whole journey, from start to finish, and that’s what makes your content so relatable and engaging. One thing that really stands out to me is how you explain things in a way that even someone who’s not a mechanic can understand. That’s a real skill! Car stuff can get pretty technical, but you break it down in a way that makes it accessible to everyone. Whether it’s explaining how a turbo works, walking us through a brake job, or showing the right way to tune an engine, you make sure that anyone watching can follow along. And that’s important because not everyone grew up learning about cars, but with your videos, they can feel confident tackling a project on their own. It’s like having a mate in the garage with you, walking you through each step. Your channel has also taught me that patience is key when working on cars. I reckon we’ve all had those moments where we’re one bolt away from finishing a job, only to have something snap or not fit right. But watching you push through those moments, troubleshoot, and figure things out is a great reminder that with enough persistence, you can get through any challenge. I think that’s a lesson that applies not just to working on cars, but to life in general. I also really appreciate how you highlight the importance of using the right tools for the job. It’s easy to be tempted to take shortcuts or use whatever you have lying around, but you always stress the importance of doing things properly and safely. Whether it’s making sure you torque things down to spec or using quality parts, you’re setting a great example for all of us watching. And when you do those tool reviews or show off your new gear, it gives us a chance to learn what’s worth investing in and what might not be. That kind of advice is invaluable for anyone who’s serious about working on their car. As someone who’s always been a bit of a car enthusiast, your channel has really helped deepen my understanding and appreciation for the work that goes into car maintenance and repair. Whether it’s your detailed explanations, the awesome projects you take on, or just your overall attitude toward getting the job done, your videos always leave me feeling motivated to go out and work on my own car. And even if I run into problems, I know there’s always something to learn from the process, just like you show in your videos. I reckon that’s what makes your channel stand out - it’s not just about showing off fancy cars or doing quick fixes; it’s about sharing the love of working on cars and encouraging others to get involved too. You’ve built a real community here, and it’s great to see how supportive everyone is in the comments. I think that’s a testament to the positive and down-to-earth vibe you bring to the channel. You’re not just teaching us how to fix our cars; you’re showing us how to do it with patience, pride, and a sense of accomplishment. So, keep up the awesome work! You’re making a real impact, not just on me but on everyone who watches your videos. Can’t wait to see what projects you tackle next. Whether it’s restoring an old classic, modding a modern car, or just showing us some essential tips and tricks, I know it’ll be another banger. Thanks again for all the effort you put into your content - it really shows. Cheers, mate! This comment highlights the key elements that make the channel valuable while sharing personal reflections and appreciation, helping you connect with the creator and the wider community of car enthusiasts. 3:22

"sticky rings" cause oil consumption by causing increased crankcase pressure. Then the oil vapor gets ingested through PCV. It did on my car, anyway. Running a few cans of Seafoam cleaned it up. Here's how I knew: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaa6Y2uDqdOWrbssi=2G4DwogGY147cmuG
@lgoamity13 күн бұрын
@@Iowa599 Hopefully while "ingestion" through the PCV system isn't R&P's Primary function... its "indirect" exposure thru the PCV/Intake Valves might help keep things cleaner then with a non-R&P Oil and with luck with eventually improve/reduce Oil ingestion thru the PCV/Intake Valves so... Win-Win
@Iowa59913 күн бұрын
@@lgoamity I not only add the Seafoam to the oil, but also soak the pistons overnight by putting about 1oz per cylinder through the spark plug hole. That works to clean the oil ring pretty well, it dropped my oil consumption from ~1/2 quart every 1000 miles to ~1/2 quart every 3000 miles.
@lgoamity13 күн бұрын
@@Iowa599 Thanks for the tip about adding a "fuel" filter into my PCV hose... I was seriously considering adding a Catch Can to my Setup as a Preventative Maintenance option... But the Filter might be far simpler/quicker way to "see" what is happening. Just worried about the Capacity if it becomes clogged.
@Iowa59913 күн бұрын
@@lgoamity The fuel filter hack does require frequent attention. Very frequent if there is a lot of blow-by! My car did recover after seafoaming it & my last filter lasted over a year. I forgot to mention the test to see if the filter is clogged. Pop the oil filler cap, with the engine idling, cover the hole with your hand. There should be a slight vacuum.

@mykofreder168214 күн бұрын
Someone showed an engine with a quarter inch of black residue on the valve train. Somone else said a filter got clogged in under 1000 miles with this product, maybe it was one of these engines with a lot of gunk. I would put an oil flush in an old oil and put less than 100 miles with that to remove exercise gunk before using this for 5k miles. On the older vehicle I have a cartridge filter, I will probably pull and look at the filter.
@whlawson581214 күн бұрын
For using this V R&R on an engine already gunk up with thickened sludge, you need to stand by many oil filters. Change the oil filter after 1st 500 miles, then at 1000 & 2000 miles respectively. Stripping off & dumping all the sludge into the oil filter for the whole 5000 miles would choke the oil filter & force the oil flow thru the bypass spring & valve of the oil filter.
@Shanes_Shed14 күн бұрын
Its good advice, especially when you don't know how aggressively this stuff will strip out the junk

Not sure if Valvoline's (AUS/NZL) FAQ on R&P's cleaning abilities is much different from the US version... (Up to 99% vs Up to 100%, probably same thing) The US version of the FAQ suggests the Oil/Filter should be used at "STANDARD MAINTENANCE INTERVALS". If so, the filter shouldn't get clogged up/need replacement early. The "Liqui-Shield" (Preventing Deposits) and "Active Clean" (Removes Deposits) Additive Package apparently will keep the dissolved deposits from reforming again. Both in the Engine and the Oil Filter... While there have been suggestions that some users of R&P are seeing heavy build up/clogged filters, suppose keeping an eye on the color/condition of the Oil on the Dipstick and if it starts "turning" early and you have a Drop In Cartridge Filter that seems like a no brainer to swap if it's easy enough... Even if the Oil Filter isn't easy to swap I suppose for most, the majority of the Oil will still be in the Pan so the usual mess and need for a top off a quart/liter or so is still cheaper/faster then dumping the Oil much too early?
@kirkdarling412013 күн бұрын
I don't believe that claim of filter being clogged. Valvoline claims nothing more than piston rings being cleaned, and that after at least four oil changes at regular intervals. If R&P cleaned _everything,_ in one oil change they'd brag about it for sure.
@lgoamity13 күн бұрын
@@kirkdarling4120 Well... I'm not so sure they claim "only" the Pistons/Rings for Deposit Removal/Control. There has been some KZbin Videos with Interviews with Valvoline Spokesperson(s) that suggest while works best when in direct contact with things like the Pistons, it might also help (indirectly) keep things like GDI Intake Valves/PCV system cleaner then when using a Non-R&P Oil. While those areas shouldn't be seeing large amounts of Oil (unless it's being "consumed")... If there is some blow-by/leakage it may help keep those passages clean(er) then with a regular Oil... Hopefully after cleaning the Oil use will reduce... Maybe eliminating the build up from Oil Burn/Deposits and blow-by

For all my oil changes I’ve long been in the habit of adding an ounce of seafoam per quart oil to an already warm engine. So like 4-5 ounces of seafoam for my car into the engine oil. The car is driven for at least 5-10 miles or up to ~ 40 miles then I perform my oil change. So far so good in my Honda fit with 340k miles.

Since this June on one (seems to be performing better, no burning oil after 700 miles anyway) and this Weekend (so TBD, on a vehicle that normally would use a GM dexos oil that R&P isn't certified yet... Going for shorter then GM's OLM with 3000 mile changes so hopefully the short intervals will allow for "good enough" protection compared to what I'd get/expect from a Dexos Oil

@Shanes_Shed18 күн бұрын
Exterior door handle I assume? If thats what your asking about then you need to 1st remove the cover on at the back of the handle (will most likely break the retaining clips). To remove the exterior front door handle, without removal of the door trim pad - Slide the handle firmly rearward, then pivot the handle away from the door to remove it. That will get just the handle off. If you need to remove internal parts then all the window regulator needs to be removed also to allow access from the inside.
