Had to because of the comments: -Forrest is the one that goes after Jenny all by his own choice. Watch again. -Jenny has been SAd and abused by her father and men in her life. The men in her life can be due to her attachment issues and affereffects of unresolved trauma. -Era is 60s/70s so therapy wasn't a thing. -Jenny does care for him but knows she is messed up and stays away. -Forrest is successful in his life and Jenny has done nothing to hinder that. -Jenny never steals nor abuses nor takes support not even child support from Forrest. Doesn't ask anything from him. What's the worst she did? Friendzone? It's not her fault in the slightest that he loved her. She was his childhood friend and she did love him. She was a friend who accepted him even with his disabilities. He *chose* to continue pining after her even after not seeing her for YEARS.
