Everyone who uses subwoofer understands nothing of audio 😢
@TSfoto9 күн бұрын
Oh my god what a strange comment. I would go so far to say the opposite instead. A well integrated sub in a setup is a before/after experience.
@nickolaymiltenov9 күн бұрын
Aren't 20 Hz enough? Are you going to listen music or thunder and nuclear blasts? And backfiring speakers almost touching the wall, situated and suffocated in a tiny space among piles of gear, subwoofers etc... In that layout even a million dollar system will not sound good.
@TSfoto9 күн бұрын
@@nickolaymiltenov Instead of being rude, as you are now, why don't you ask why he has done what he has done to make the sub's as great as they are? I have two sub's in my system, and that is NOT to add thunder and nuclear blasts, it is to make a near perfect 20-20kHz curve to my setup in my room. There are very few speakers that are able to play a flat 20-20kHz curve at any level without sub(s). This is also much because it's few that are able to place the main speakers where they play everything best, especially in a livingroom. Then a sub or two will play a huge role to help with bass in a room, but it has to be implemented with care and knowledge. At my home it is a true before/after experience with much much better control and curve after the sub's, and there is less boom with the sub's than without them. In Lars Martins setup (in this video) the sub's did much of the same. This setup is mounted in a normal livingroom with lots of acoustic challenges, especially in the bass frequencies. But after measuring and placement the sub's made a phenomenal difference. So your comment are so out of line and you couldn't possibly know what you are saying without having listening to the room/setup you are commenting on. Every room and setup is different and there is no way to say that one thing suits all rooms/setups. And I would go so far to say that a sub, or preferably two sub's, will make almost every system sound better and more correct, with more capacity at any volume levels. If installed and implemented correctly.
@nickolaymiltenov9 күн бұрын
@@TSfoto Would you be so kind to tell me where exactly i was rude? Obviously you have very wrong idea of rudeness. Anyway, your explanation confirmed my opinion that you are trying to improve your sound in the worst possible way by buying subwoofers and other unnecessary stuff instead of investing in a suitable prepared room which is much cheaper and way more effective. So don't get insulted when i say you are not good in audio theory.
@TSfoto9 күн бұрын
@@nickolaymiltenov You say that "everyone who uses subwoofer understands nothing of audio", that is so extremely silly and rude to say. And for me that is telling me that you are missing some very well know knowledge about hifi sound. And in this last comment you are talking about "investing in a suitable prepared rom". Well, not everyone can do this, or want to do this, and then we need to adjust for that. I want and need to have my setup where I have it, and have therefore made every effort to make this as good as possible, and that ment including sub's. And the result is a dream sound for me, and you have absolutely no reason or knowledge to say other ways without knowing everything about the setup and room. But please stop writing anymore, because you are so off in your comments.

one of the things that influenced my getting a gyro se was the fact that it was a recognized very good table in the home market of England, where people tend to have smaller rooms than in America, and isolation from external noise is a common audiophile turntable design problem wherever one lives. I also knew the English consumer is much less impulsive than in America, so success in the home market impressed me. I worked with a person who was recruited to change those more careful british buying habits by an English retail chain , and quit trying after three years. Tough to beat a high quality boutique manufacturer for specialized goods, and Michell is an excellent English example.
@TSfoto4 ай бұрын
Thank you sir, I absolutely love both the design and how it plays, and that amazing dampening system that helps to eliminate bass-problems. I am interested in trying a more modern high end turntable and see if it copes as good with the vibrations as a Gyro does. But I think it will be ok on my bench with dampened feet and stand. But then again, nothing can beat the look of the Gyro, it's a legend.
