Horrid-jumbled and directionless. Faux piano concerto intro then falling into goo and corny sentimental drivel. The harmonic clashes are shocking. Did LeGrand play on the session? Yikes.

After seeing the movie no telling how many times, I finally researched the soundtrack. Very chilling soundtrack to an excellent movie !

Je suis même pas né quand le film est sortie, j'entends parfois mes parents font des références au film, parcontre la musique du film a très bien voyagé à travers le temps, c'est un film assez triste parcontre, une dame qui préfère un vieux riche versus son pauvre jeune beau.

I don't think anybody did Michel Legrand better than Jack Jones. He OWNS this song and What Are You Doing The Rest Of My Life as well.

I love Michel's composition here that mixes jazz with bossa nova...it actually works very well with the twin pianos taking the highlight. Michel Legrand was one of Johnny Mathis' favorite composers and writers....a prolific orchestrator of film and television scores, he won 3 Academy Awards among others. Passing away in 2019 at the age of 86, he is sorely missed; yet, his music will continue to be a blessing to others for years to come.

This is one of those rare occasions where everything works together to achieve something superb : Michel Legrand's wonderful melody, the fabulous orchestration and and of course Melissa Errico's sublime voice interpreting the lyrics to perfection. Even the double bass adds to the magic. A memorable performance. Thank you!
