You should keep the body and the gas tank upsidedown to refill gas.

Will the stove fit in the Trangia mess tin? EDIT ; I see you answered this earlier, can anyone confirm it does or doesn’t fit in the large Trangia mess tin?

I bought one of these from US Amazon recently to light some of my backpacking stoves that don’t have igniters. It is more wind proof than a Bic lighter which is what I used previously. The only problem I have with it I that it doesn’t always light on the first click although it always lights but sometimes on the 2nd or 3rd click. I suspect that is because it takes a micro second for the gas to work its way up the extension. The extension has saved some of the hairs on my fingers though.

Is the pot the Trangia Small Mess Tin? And if so does the ST-320 fit inside the mess tin when folded?

The small trangia mess tin fits inside the large one, but I believe the Stove only fits on the large tin also, I tried it with the small, it wont fit.

I love how this burner looks/operates and stores. But I would not use that leather wrap around the gas canister. As you use the gas and it gets empty it gets cold because of the evaporation and expansion of the gas inside. Eventually, it gets so cold the last bit of gas will not evaporate. The only way to get that last bit of gas out of the bottle is to let it warm up. And that leather wrap slows down that transfer of heat from the air to the canister. Just use the bare canister and you will get more gas out of it, with less trouble.

I live in a tropical country, so no problem here with warming up the canister, it's always hot here lol.

Thanks for sharing your Springbar tent setup! How does it perform during heavy rains (esp in the humid and wet Philippine weather 😅)
@allthingsrugged
@allthingsrugged 2 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried using it lately, the last time I used it was in Tagaytay, and the weather back then it was still cool. As far as being humid, not so much since the canvas is breathable, plus the tent has really huge windows.

From what I can tell it's not sold in the USA. I'm not sure to whom SOTO was addressing with this stove. Their Windmaster and Amicus are so easy to use. There are too many steps to get this one fired up especially after a long hike or inclement weather.
@SnowyAspenHills
@SnowyAspenHills 2 жыл бұрын
Amicus and Windmaster are much more powerful as well. I own the ST 320 and I like it and keep it in my bug out bag. It’s useful as it uses the cheaper gas cartridge.
