@harold1573 the building is 2x8 construction. They ended up spray-foaming the insulation. Very warm building now!

Nice build! looks just like the one at Natural Spaces domes. I've shingles a few hundred domes and it's nice to see someone following the rules.

Owner said the kit cost 50k. Included the windows and shingles. Inside framing was not included in the kit. Just the dome and exterior walls

This is a dome package put together by Natural Spaces Domes from Minnesota. They help you along with all the instructions via dome school. Really great people to work with.

There’s a much better way. Unplug the seat belt wire on the driver seat. The buckle part that is by your right hip on the driver seat has a wire and connector on the right side of the seat. I unplugged mine and have zero issues and no more loud chime. Check my channel for the video

yeah your video is for the seat belt chime and this video is for the door chime.. ‘when the doors are open and have the key in the ignition’

@@TheOnlyGoDModZ Yes but if you have the amplifier failure that amplifies the chime (that deafens you) doing this door chime mod won’t stop the chime from deafening you each time you start the truck. Also doing it this way in his video makes the radio stay on/turn off function stop working (when opening the door) and also kills the lockout prevention too. The seatbelt chime bypass makes it not chime at all unless the door is open with the key on. I never sit around with my door open so that doesn’t bother me. So again. My way is far easier and better. To each their own though.

I tried this today and was lucky enough to reverse the damage. While it did stop the annoying door chime, it also prevents your automatic running boards from working since they no longer know when your door is open or closed. I just spent about $2k getting my running boards working again with new motors, extensions, and labor. I don’t like them and don’t use them but I want them to work if/when I turn on the switch.

Did this without looking at the comments. Horrible video and idea. My radio does not shut off, not worth going through a shitload of money buying batteries because the battery keeps dying. Don’t do it. Gets rid of the chime but bad video

Yes that's correct, the downside of this fix is that your radio will stay on as if you never opened your door. I turn my volume down and exit the vehicle. I did this in June of 2019 and haven't had any battery issues yet... Live in northern Alberta, Canada and it gets pretty cold here in winter.

I did this on our 2016 Chevy Volt. It worked great but now the center radio stays on. I now have to turn off the center radio manually if on. Small price to pay to eliminate that horrible chime.

i did it in my 2016 silverado 1500 and it does work for the door chaim but the sterio stays on it won't turn off after I lock the door at least that's what happened with my truck

its not just the door open/closed...its the assault you face when you get in...seatbelt warning chime.
