@@kemicalx17 That’s pretty much what I did. You just want to try to keep the bow from dropping and hooking.. It’s hard to make yourself stay in the throttle when it’s happening. Especially the first few times, but it is your best bet.

See the little white block on the bow? Quick disconnect.. can install and uninstall the troller in 2 minutes. No need in having it on there unless I’m actually bass fishing

Judging from you calling him dumb, I guess you were thought from youth that if you did something wrong, scolding wasn't sufficient, it had to be backed up by further ignoring, and maybe even nastiness like your comment. It would help explain your nasty comment so I suppose you're not to blame. If the bond is strong, even something like a change in tone for a minute can be sufficient. If the bond is weak, ye you may need harsher action.

How new are you to setting boats up?

@@aj06bolt12r been setting up flats boats for years, some with pads, but this Allison is way more sketchy…and a lot faster… those boats ran stable as could be at 80, and I can’t seem to find the sweet spot on the xb to keep it from chine walking…although, I feel like I drove a bit better yesterday… This was only my third time out on it.

@@dailydriverG80 Does the pad still have the stock lip on it? How much setback are you running? What engine? What prop? What is your prop to pad height?

@@aj06bolt12r it definitely still has the stock lip…it’s pretty original 1991. I have a merc 2.5 promax 225x with brucato svs, brucato acu, cle 1.87 lower, 12” setback 10” lift JP, not sure of the brand of props, but I have a 28, 29, and 31. Trying to figure out proper running heights, and I’m definitely learning it more… The flats boats you trim way up and run on the drain plug, and this boat doesn’t like that…

@@dailydriverG80 Alright good info. With the stock lip you are going to want the center of you prop shaft to be about 1/4" below to even with the pad. Id run the 28p prop or even find a 26p while you are getting the feel for it. A 26 hydromotive or trophy would be good to get some seat time with. Your right Allisons dont like a bunch of positive trim. Especially with the stock lip they want to run pretty flat. Neutral trim should be just fine for any speed between 35 and 90. Use a bubble level on the bottom of the pad and get that level using the trailer jack. Then lay the level on top of your flywheel and get that level using the trim. Mark your trim gauge at that spot and run your trim close to there and the boat should drive pretty well. What do you have for steering?
