Yeah Lydia does get in the way a lot, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. She is fighting for you, slowing enemy approaches down and giving you time to do stuff.

The more you fast travel, the more often dragons appear. Dragons can be annoying to fight, but the more you kill them, the more Dragon souls you get to power new different Shouts. There is an, in story, reason that you are seeing more Dragons, but I'm not going to spoil it.

Reading the tablets gives you a perk so it is worth it, plus you learn some cool lore that pays off later.

Just so you know, Lydia can carry stuff for you. You can trade with her or drop stuff and tell her to pick the items up. If you use the second method she will be able to carry an unlimited amount. Which is great for taking ALL the loot. If you give Lydia stuff to carry, she will use it if it is better than what she currently has. Which is a good thing since you want Lydia to be tough. Be careful NOT to HIT her in combat because she will either attack you or DIE. You are the only way she can be killed so be careful. If you see Lydia kneeling, it means she is hurt and if you hit her, she will die.

Yes, save often. A few small bits of advice that will help you out, but no spoilers. You haev ingrediants. Eat one of each and it will reveal what kind of potion you can make with them. Potions take two + ingredients to be made. Ingredients include, plants, flowers, insects, certain animal parts, eggs, wheat, and other things you can all find for free out in the wild, or even in cities. See a flower.....grab it.

Yup. Lockpoicks are usefull, Always grab them and buy them if you can.

Adopting kids is kinda fun. You do need a house with kids rooms for them tho. You can give them gifts and they will gather things for you that they will leave in a chest in their room. They will also play games with certain toys like wooden swords, which is always fun to see.

Aw don't be so hard on yourself these things happen❤. To answer your questions horses run away if they are badly wounded to save themselves from dying. I believe they heal themselves over time like followers, just be careful where you swing that weapon as it can kill both horse and follower. Dragons will appear randomly now after you killed the 1st one. They are brought back to life by a necromancer Dragon which you meet at Helgen. They do turn up at the most annoying times though. Taking them on your own is not easy. Trolls or in your case Yetis lol regen health over time. Labyrinthian has multiple Trolls outside. My best advice is to run until you can handle one. Try not to surround yourself by lots of enemies try to take them on one to one, as group they can be deadly. I wonder if you noticed Khajiit have night vision by default? Also they have the highest unarmed damage because claws, iirc they do more damage than iron weapons. Anyway I hope you're enjoying the game

Id like too ask this girl how fun it is for her first playthru while being a older game got my gf playing it rn too and i wonder if it holds up. Looking back i feel like they could have made the map a little smaller and packed a little more life into it in the towns and stuff but it wouldent feel like a bethsda game anyhow

Sorry a bit late. No prob with your vids. In brawls over hitting does lead to assaults and is a crime. You need to learn when to stop and not over do it. Skyrim is a smart game. If you like to try different games. You could try, Gta 5, Bioshock series, Halo series, Dishonored series and Half Life 2 if you dont mind the action. Ps when crouching people can see you steal or break into places when the eye icon is open. Items in red means if you take it and are seen its a crime. Also if you take it without been seen then they can send someone after you later to kill you.

A couple quick tips (if you haven't already figured them out): 1. Save your healing, magica and stamina potions for emergency use only when you're in the middle of combat. Not only do you have your healing spell to fall back on, but when you're not actively involved in combat, your Health, Magica, and Stamina will all regenerate on their own. Just wait a couple minutes in a safe place where there isn't something immediately trying to attack you, and you'll get back to full health, magica and stamina. There are a few magical effects, diseases, etc. that can prevent you from regenerating for a short time, but for the most part, it'll happen automatically as long as your aren't in combat. 2. In the indoor dungeons (like Bleakfall Barrows), you occasionally find rooms and hallways with a red liquid (flammable oil) covering the floor. Look above them to see hanging fire pots that you shoot down with your bow and set the oil on fire. You can also just aim one of your flame or fireball spells at the oil and set it on fire that way. Draugr (those zombie dudes) LOVE to walk into flaming oil and get killed. It's like their favorite thing ever! 3. Another strategic healing ploy: if you have a Level Up available and haven't used it, if you get into combat and are out of potions and are about to die, immediately go into your Level Up menu and level up. It will automatically reset your health back to max. 4. If NPCs are constantly asking how you feel, it probably means you have a disease. Look under your active effects (same menu as your spells and shouts). If you have a disease, it'll show you there. Most diseases can be cured by visiting an alchemist or touching one of the many shrines all over the place (like at every temple or every Hall of the Dead). Alchemists can also sell you Cure Disease potions. The only exceptions are vampirism (if you don't cure Sanguinare Vampiris before it progresses to full vampirism) or Lycanthropy, which have to be cured by special means that you can uncover while progressing certain quests.

Certain characters can not be killed. Also killing shop keepers etc may prevent future trades like the bar keeper.

Glad to see someone else playing a Khajiit. Haven't been able to bring myself to play any other race since Daggerfall.
