I live up north and want to disguise it in front of a red brick house. Primer red oxide it is! 👍

Sure, probably cheaper to buy a new tank than what you guys would charge.

In January, when you may need a fire.. Be very careful to not over heat your tanks threaded connections on top. As they will slowly leak propane....

What were the stalk nitrate result? Did you also do a soil nitrate test on a weekly basis? What was the nitrogen program? 3.5% yield gain is nice in a high yield environment, but in a sub 180bu/acre environment it is only 5-6 bu. increase. FDL country average yield 178.7 (2020), 183.6 (2019), 183.9 (2018), 182.7 (2017), 186.1 (2016), 178.5 (2015). Thanks for the info, just want more details.

"The stalk nitrate test results were a little off because of a high rate of liquid nitrogen pass in the field. I did not do a soil nitrate test at all in the field. I took a tissue test at R1. Tissue tests all were in a tenth of a point from each other. The average yield on the check was 252 bu. per acre while the average yield of the envita was 261 bu. per acre. There were 140 units of nitrogen applied to the field. This grower is making three passes of fertilizer; Strip-till, Planter, and side-dress. This field was previously alfalfa before going into corn. A couple years ago there was a test done on his farm and his nitrogen use efficiency is very good. It was .6 to .7 units per bushel."

Thanks for the information. Why is heat a problem? Does it make any difference in the propane inside?
@countryvisionsco-op71133 жыл бұрын
Great question! Excessive heat creates pressure inside the tank, much like heating up water on the stove when you put a lid on the pot. When we have temps that exceed 90 degrees, the heat could warm up the tank and potentially reach 250 psi. The tank has a pressure relief valve on it that will release pressure once the tank exceeds 200-250 psi. You want to avoid that happening, as it can release liquid propane. As noted in the video, the lighter color tank can reflect a 10 degree difference and is beneficial to help avoid the potential pressure release.
