If you really want to have power run, get into Gun Wing Twins (12P). I did not appreciate what a bitch this is until I had to defend it. Just by alignment, the defense will be a man short on one side. The Leach Riley comparison is apples to oranges. OU gets much better players than Wazzu does.

Imagine doing this your whole life, only for Darek Carr to throw the ball 50 yards sideways.

Yes that’s typically the most common way you would see from the old run and shoot days works well that way it sets a natural little pick for you shallow guy coming underneath

Hi coach, with what you talked about at the beginning, about it being automatic and playing fast, what do you think about stuff like Alabama's defense? I have talked on Coach Huey recently about how I find it hard to believe their players are not superhuman...When you see how much Saban runs, not only does what they are asked to memorize and then recall seem crazy, then you actually have to practice all that stuff. I do not see how they have enough time to practice each assignment, technique, coverage, pressure, etc to the point that it becomes automatic like you talk about at the beginning. And yet, they clearly are executing at a high level every year...How are his players not literal superhumans?

Yeah coach definitely at the college level you will have to have a higher level of capacity for scheme. Compared to high school those guys get more practice time which means more reps they also have meetings and watch film daily which will help with that. Like you said tho In the case of Alabama they are a combination of being well prepared and typically more athletic which is the perfect storm.

Great content..... really enjoyed this.....a couple of questions....1) please explain your QB “drop” again...the rocker step and crossover- so this isn’t run out of one step drop...would love another show and content on explaining the Qb drop and any drills you have on this.... 2) your R ( running back).....so he is never in the route concept??? He is only in the route when he is “tagged” - would love deeper convo about his role in the Vert - his blocking rules and when or if he is in the route..3) lastly....you actually went over several different “tags”...would love a follow up about the tags - any practice clips of these....thanks for the content - hope to see this covered even more in detail....

Great way to use trips formation to run 6. Love seeing the tennis ball drill in highlights. Definitely will be incorporating that drill out of season.
