Hmmmm... I actually know very little about where the tracks come from. I don't have access to them... I just plug my headphones in on Sunday mornings and play to what is provided... Blessings.

Ahhhh... sheet music... I wish I had some! Lately I have been working on charting... even if just 1 bar per intro, chorus, verse, instrumental... so I have a feel for what is coming. But that is new to me... definitely helping since I am just learning to read and write music... finally after 45 years of hobby drumming.

Hmmm... I do not know. I just plug in and adjust the different instruments and the track to what I want to hear...

nope. It's a 13th century carol. It doesn't need your drums to be relevant. And you add a harshness that is the exact opposite of the actual meaning of the song. Like, dude, would you be dense enough to play that in an infant's room while he's sleeping??

Ouch! lol. Actually, it was played according to anothers rendition... and, the floor tom could be like a heart beat to the infant in the mother's womb... just a thought, but I get your perspective... so, yeah, valid opinion.

I think the acoustics rhythm was a bit out? I like how simple you kept it, because it can be tempting to do a whole lot of fills for that song and dominate

I agree, that song sets up lots of fill opportunities. One of my favorite free KZbin music lessons... you've probably seen it - Don Moen "Thank You Lord" don't overplay kzbin.info/www/bejne/mme8ZIN5jsydock shows you that there can be some highlights along the way but when everyone in the band does it at the same time, what a mess.
