Thanks for the ride. It's always weird when snow falls far south.

Great build Sir. The machines they sell are very expensive. Way past my pay grade. Liked. All my best.

I was watching " What the rust " and they recommended your channel. It was a video about a 1964 fairlane . I subscribed. Awesome video Sir.

👍👌👏 Thanks a lot for showing this great idea. Unless one has a Gradall 😁 ;-), this hoist works exceptionally well. Best regards, luck and health.

Dear @@DependableAutoTruck guy You're welcome, it's my pleasure. Thanks for replying, I totally appreciate it. I got the notification not until now (1 month later). If you want that your answer is read, you have to give at least a thumbs up (or a heart). Otherwise utube does not notify any more. Obviously there had been some changes in 2022, but utube didn't tell us. Maybe they simply want to reduce the text/data = less answers/replies, less data. Sincerely yours.

That is an awesome truck! I am amazed that the sticker on the valve cover is still there.

Talked to you on Sumpter vid about cab to axle length. I can see that yours is 84 inches by the size of your front boxes. Also the hitch mounts at top of bed at rear is for a truck hitch. This body was used mostly for the 600 Holmes 16 ton unit. You have the 500/10 ton unit with the small drums, holding 100 ft of cable. Newer 500's had bigger drums holding 200 ft of cable. The side doors are for outriggers the 500 does not have, but the 600 did. With this cab to axle you should be able to pull 2 ton trucks from the front and road tractors from the rear no problem. Just hook em and see how it feels steering wise. BUT BE SAFE, if steering feels too easy/front too light, don't pull it..You've got a nice old truck, just keep it that way....
