I use leguano shoes as a postman. My footpain, that i had when wearing regular jogging shoes went away , The only criticism I have is that they don´t last very long under heavy use. WIth a daily average milage of about 20 km they last 2 months.
@fallfornature Жыл бұрын
That is true. The glue isn't that strong. I used my first pair for running and jumping, which quickly resulted in some damage. Though when I bought my second pair, the salesperson saw my shoes, asked how old they were (under 1 year) and said they shouldn't be that broken. They send them in and I got a new pair.

I tried toe socks for a few years and it got very uncomfortable wearing them for 2 reasons : 1) somehow I started to long for the feeling of the skin of my toes rubbing against each other and the feeling kept growing, as soon as I switched back to wearing normal socks it felt fantastic ! .... and I've stuck to wearing normal sock ever since. 2) the shape of my feet is of type where the toes flare out in a fan shape, when I put on my shoes, the pressure on toes is more than normal people ... toes socks increases that pressure a lot more than normal socks as it spreads out the toes to push against the inside of the shoes. Wearing toe socks felt really uncomfortable with certain shoes ...
@fallfornature Жыл бұрын
I can imagine. Toe socks add more material between the toes. If the shoes are too tight, this becomes a problem. At the moment I wear regular socks more than toe socks. If I can I use wool ones, which are wide and don't compress my toes.

The first time I tried toe socks was horrible. I didn’t take into account how smooshed my toes were, so they created blisters between my toes, & then there was the cracking and bleeding too, but now after 4 or 5 years of toe yoga & separators I actually have toes! So I’m ready to give them another try as my next step to barefoot living.

I've only worn toe socks since I was like 8 years old. (I'm 15 now) I see a big difference between my and my friends' toes. Mines are more seperated from eachother. Also my feet are wider in that toe area and I don't know if it's a good thing because I have to buy too big shoes because of that. In my family there are some issues with toes and toenails but I have never had any issues. Also almost all my relatives has problems with kneading bone (if that's a real word for it) but I have never had any problems with it. Now after about 7 years of using toe socks I highly recommend using toe socks. It maybe feels bit weird at first but you'll get used to it. Actually now it feels disgusting to wear socks that pushes my toes together.

If you want to take those socks to the next level, get some non-cotton socks. Cotton is pretty terrible for socks, it traps moisture and smells easily.

Great to learn more about the brand than from the shop assistant in Prague ´ s shop! I tried a pair that was really comfy but fir the money , 160 EUR, you pay I do not want to worry about wet feet! And how about the smell in case i wear tights becauce I need to wear women suit to wirk?! What material is it? I was trying kind of balerina type shoe…..
@fallfornature2 жыл бұрын
Hi Lucie, not every seller is the same. I found that in my town, the sales person wore and loved the shoe and could give me plenty of tips. Yes, wet feet are an issue with those shoes. Just wet ground is no problem, but medium/heavy rain or stepping in puddles is not a good idea. The only time I had "smell-problems" was, when I didn't use socks. Bare feet made the shoes smelly for me. With socks, no problem. They were 120€ when I bough them about 5 years ago.

If they feel like the cut off circulation they are too tight for your toes. Maybe try to stretch them with something (like 2 or 3 pens per hole).

Thank you. It's an year on after posting this video, do you have any further insights? I'm primarily curious about the Leguanos' durability.
@fallfornature2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delayed answer. As I said in the video, the soft material on the shoe has its upsides and downsides. Upside is the flexibility, which is not impaired at all. Downside: It can be damaged. In my experience, it is pretty resilient if all you do is wear the shoe, meaning, it doesn't break at certain parts where it needs to bend a lot. But if someone would step on your feet or the shoe scratches a sharp object, it could tear. For the last 2 years I wore a show of another company (Joe Nimble), which served me well. The reason for switching was: The Joe Nimble shoe is more weather / water resistant, easier to clean and the sole is just a little bit thicker, making it more pleasant to walk on concrete. So Leguano isn't my current shoe of choice. But that is just my opinion. In my work as a physiotherapist I regularly see people with Leguanos, who are pretty happy with their shoes.
@tmargosian3 жыл бұрын
Wear them everyday. They’re the best. No more blisters when wearing work boots!!!! And it eliminates for me that feeling of sticky sweaty toes every time I wiggle my toes. Drives me crazy but toe socks are the bomb!
Amazing, I got the same ones you have off of Amazon. Threw out all my regular socks. Love them. No more cold feet.

What if you live in the city concrete cement everywhere and you walk everywhere because you’re like 3 miles from everything up to 5 miles like it doesn’t make any logical sense if she was not stable on the arch park we need our support yada yada yada
@fallfornature3 жыл бұрын
The sole purpose of barefoot shoes is not to give support, but only protect your feet from shards, dirt etc. For concrete only, the shoes are not optimal, but it comes down to personal preference, as mentioned in my other barefoot shoe video. Some can deal with concrete, others can't. Not all barefoot shoes are created equal, some have thicker soles. And you can always put in a soft insole for more cushioning

I just got a pair from PUTUO. I like them but can’t help feel that they are a little tight around my toes. Is that just the new sensation of having my toes separated with extra fabric or is it just the “new” sock feel?

I tried toe socks for the first time a year and a half ago. I liked them alot so I bought a bunch. However, I was stuck with those one size fits all/most that they sell all over the internet me having larger feet but they were still considered great compared to regular socks. So i went ahead and paid a higher price for a pair of Injinji toe socks in xl size in their wool kind and I just fell in love with toe socks. I don't think I'll ever wear regular socks again except for winter when I'll use thin toe socks for a base layer/liner and some regular socks on top. I recommend these to everyone. If my feet were smaller in size I would probably stock up on cheaper toe socks.

My toe spacers do cut the circulation to my toes off. Should I invest in a different pair or just get use to taking them off periodically??
@fallfornature3 жыл бұрын
If they restrict blowflow I cannot recommend to wear them. They seem to be too tight for your toes. Try stretching them out (for example if you put 2-4 pens or other round objects in each toe-hole.) They aren't that expensive, so you could always look for a new pair. Read the reviews to get an idea of how tight they are.
