In 2008 I found one of the most beautiful songs on a dvd special features menu. This is now my time machine back to that time.

Omg! What a trip down memory lane! Jimmy Dale who did music for Super Dave and John Byner. Andy Cree on Drums, Played on tons of Anne Murray hits. Rob McConnell before the Boss Brass. Jiro (Butch) Watanabe. Freddie Stone, Bobby Van Evera, and Arnie! These guys set the tone for really good music in Toronto. What a musical Feast!

The featured trumpet player is Jack Long, who started the Long & McQuade music stores, a cross-Canada chain. Bernie Piltch is the altoist and Bill Britto on bass.

This manages to be hip/swinging yet somewhat cheesy at the same time. It’s odd - clearly all great players though, without a doubt.

Great arrangement. Soloists were compelling. Cool to see & hear Ed Bickert playing a 1950's sunburst Gibson ES-175 loaded with P-90 pickups, plugged into a 1960's Fender Deluxe Reverb amplifier. What a beautiful electric guitar tone.

Soooo beautiful! Thank you so much!! This song is responsible for a reunion with my 90 year old father which everyone said wouldn't work -- well, Love does conquer all. Thank you, I went to see him twice and we talked every night until the day he died. The last things he said to me were I love you, don't worry, talk with you tomorrow. I love you, Dad! Love, Megan

I still remember the exact moment my TV's element burnt out from watching Knocked Up so much. It's the scene with Seth Rogen's character and his dad played by Harold Ramis, and when his dad says something weird, and Seth Rogen makes a face and says something along the lines of "I didnt need to hear that"

From September 9, 1965 and I'm listening to it on September 9, 2023. As beautiful and musically relevant now as it was on that day. I doubt that will ever change.
