Loving this! But, when was the video done? SAS is part of the KLM alliance, right? Why T2 & Pearl Lounge from ARN? Does anyone know? While, Lufthansa still use the SAS lounge.

2:58 always a big relief seeing an airplane to your right when approach AMS from the north, especially when having a tight connection. The Polderbaan can really eat your connection time, especially when paired with a remote stand 😬

I know how it is ... but probably nowadays it feels safer as baby gangsters have gone to other countries all over south America and USA and fuck up the whole continent as they are namimals that's why you think is nothing like people say as you are just visiting + other things .. venezuela it's been always a very corrupted place specially around since 1989 onwards .

I think that you gave a very good and honest review. KLM is what it is, we are not the best but you will get a honest and friendly product including a professional cabin crew. I worked 40 years as Cabincrew for KLM and from day one loved my job! What bothered me is that we always had to reduce costs were we would have loved to spoil our guests. Looking forward to watch your channel 👍💙🙏

Any on-time KLM flight is always to be celebrated, like a pink unicorn.

KLM has a really great AP for their wonderful delft houses. They come out with a new one each October to commemorate their anniversary. They have around 120 now. I have around 75 including the Rembrandt house and Heineken Brewery. The AP also has the history of each house.

I fully second Gabe's experience. I flew KLM Business Class on a 777-200ER to Ecuador and back in November and had the same experience: super-friendly crew, that amazing seat which turns into a private cocoon if you close the door and really good food. Transferring at Schiphol can mean long walks but I still prefer that everything-under-one-roof philosophy over having to change terminals. Signage is excellent and when I was there I easily found space at both KLM lounges (Schengen and Non-Schengen). Their non-Schengen one is amazing, you easily get lost in there with so many different spaces to eat, work or relax. The Schengen one is still superior to many I have seen so far in Europe.

Schiphol Airport is still (a bit) understaffed but it’s improving quickly and is also still undergoing renovations, momentarily terminal 1 near the B and C pier/concourse, so not every terminal floor space or pier/concourse gate can be used. When later this year the new pier/concourse A will open and terminal 1 is remodeled, it will be temporarily be better. Because pier/concourse B and C need to be updated too (don’t know when) and they still have to build the new terminal between B and C pier/concourse (don’t know when either).

Daytime flights from Europe to South Africa are awesome (AMS-JNB was in fact my first trip south of the equator). If you take an overnight flight you miss the most incredible view of the whole continent out of window.

Grate review Gabe as expected and always , I love food on KLM specially when they offer Indian/ Suriname / or Indonesian options . What I don’t like with KLM is the equipment change on last minute specially to the US and their always busy business class lounge in Amsterdam . For sure their colour cabin theme and livery is one of a kind and very unique in the skies .

Great video. Schiphol Airport is not that great of an airport as such, but I have grown fond of it and its little quirks. For instance the maintenance/painter guy painting the clock. ☺ The food on KLM long haul flights is quite good. The cabin crew is very nice and helpful. Your business class experience looks decent - not on par with some of the Arabian airlines maybe. Economy class measures up with most other airlines, though. Very nice review. 🤗

Saw this on x2.0 as I was rushing for another task, as I can't miss a Gabe upload. I agree on the ease of transfer part, CDG just has that worrisome aura around it haha. Also, that takeoff sounded very heavy powered, likely because the flight was full. I flew seat 8K and felt that had better engine views (I do remember how you like to figure the best engine view seats like I do as well). And ... of course agree on the amenity kit. It is so shameful, and airlines like Qatar provide something better in economy as compared to KLM in business. Great video as always!

If I have a connecting flight going to Copenhagen, I prefer to go through Toronto or Montreal rather than connecting anywhere in Europe or the US. As far as breakfast service on AirCanada, I’ll drink the coffee, and that’s good enough for me 😊

I have the same thoughts on Lufhansa as you do on Ethiopian and I'm not too enthusiastic on Qatar either but at least their service is always top notch. Lufthansa is too inconsistent with seating even the new Allegris is disappointing. With Qatar q-suite, absolutely excellent but then its not on all aircraft and then im sure everyone who has flown Qatar has been Qatared and then you end up on something substandard. I like Airfrance but I'll bet there will be hundreds who will have their horror stories on that one too. Keep up the good work, I like the honesty and the details that most never dig into.
