Why the Europeans insist on using the same economy class seats for the business class on the intra-European flights is beyond me. My German friends were shocked to see the big first class seats on the domestic flights in the US and wanted the same for European flights.

Do you know how much an upgrade in to the business class would cost on that flight? Does it depends on how full the business class is?

Two thoughts: 1. Re: US Carriers flying older planes, it's funny; once AA and DL retired their MD-80s, I consider everything left to be "new." You can have an A320, or an A320 with bigger engines. You can have a 737NG, or a 737NG with bigger engines. The only exception is the A220, which is truly new. But that's just me! 2. Strong disagree on Delta doing a better job on their 737's... their -800s are really rough inside, both poor condition and obsolete furnishings (no adjustable headrests, even in first... the horrors!). United is at least doing their NEXT cabin retrofits, which will be great...once finished. Either way, I really enjoyed the positive perspective on flying within the US. Thanks for posting!

Hey Gabe! Brilliant review as usual. Just curious and sorry if I heard you wrong. Did you say that you booked your entire trip from ARN to ADD via LHR on one ticket? i.e., thru Ethiopian? I'm asking because BA's part of Oneworld and ET is Star Alliance(I think?). Also will you be reviewing the EK A350 product anytime soon? Thank you for the hard work you put in to make these videos. Another feedback perhaps, the bg tune that you used at the start of the video just makes it so much soothing and calm, please consider using it in more of your vids :)

The only time I drink Bloody Marys is on planes. It's the best in-flight cocktail for some reason.

My indigo flt GE 457, 04 Jan 2025 Blr- Gau got cancelled citing weather conditions. My observation on the same It appears as a planned cancellation due to the following reasons. 1. No Email/ SMS received indicating delay or cancellation. 2. Despite numerous attempts of Check in , boarding pass never received. 3.If you log on and check the flt status it shows it’s airborne. My recommendation 1.Basic courtesy demands a msg/ mail/ call indicating the same. 2. Lot of time, effort & money spent in Cab and booking accommodation. A decent amount of should be refunded. 3. My bet is knowing the professionalism and the wonderful reputation of Indigo Std Time(pun intended) , my rescheduled flt for tomorrow will also be cancelled. 4. If you plan to scam travellers, do it in a more realistic way.Chori karo but pakade mat jao

I'm a united loyalist for about 20 years now (was Continental) mainly because one of their major hubs (EWR) is 30 minutes from my house and because of that I can go basically anywhere in the world from Newark. Over just the past 3 years even, United's pricing, service, food, flight routes have all gotten exceedingly better. I asked for a cranberry juice one flight and they didn't have it...not only did the F/A apologize up and down for 3 minutes but she offered me 1,200 miles for my inconvenience! It really wasn't a big deal at all but the service has certainly gotten better. They have a ton of new planes but also have survivors that are pushing 30+ years old...the 777 I just took to Italy was 28 years old but that's what happens when Boeing has mounting delays left and right and the new Airbus NEO's are having engine problems. The big 3 in the U.S. are all good, just depends where you're located! Nice video!! Safe Travels!

Never used United before because they have always costed more than others. I started flying into and around the USA from the UK with US Airways and never had any problems with them I use American Airlines and Delta now. I found American Airlines good and helpful when flights get changed or cancelled until last November when they cancelled flight AA141 out of LHR to JFK with NO reason ever given leaving myself and others stuck in LHR. I ended transferred to a British Airways flight so I could still land at JFK and make the next flights I had booked without losing them. Thank you for the video.

Love flying domestic in the US as is quite the variety as compared to the UK. I'm in the PNW and ID a lot so get similar aircraft type jumps to you on this trip. 737 one day to an E175 the next. Also I used some United miles to buy a physical copy of the last United in-flight mag.. nice little keepsake.

This was my first experience with the incompetency of IndiGo. I will never fly them again. I called the night before a flight to re-schedule my flight time. Was told by the customer service rep that the change had been made, that I was now on the next flight, 2 hours later, & that I would be able to pay the $325 USD charge at the counter when I got my boarding pass for the new flight. When I arrived at the counter, my flight had not been changed but I was forced to pay the change fee before they would give me my boarding pass -- for the original flight! They insisted that since the original flight had not yet left, I did not need the change -- and I *did* catch that flight after paying the extortion fee. When I later disputed this charge from MSW*InterGlobe Aviation Delhi NCR IN with my credit card company, I was told that InterGlobe insisted I'd received the service I'd paid for, even when I submitted my original ticket receipt & a copy of the boarding pass -- both with the same departure time. What a racket!

Flying this regularly from Frankfurt to Thailand via Delhi and have absolutely nothing negative to say. As a tall person I actually like the retro business seats as the new ones have the weird feet boxes where my feet don't really fit (45 shoe size, not even freakishly huge) which makes sleeping a bit difficult. Malaysia also has the "retro" cabin.

I Liked and Subscribed and am glad I did. Your report was very fair. You told the good, the bad and the Ugly. So happy to hear you both call out the shortcomings, yet point out that they excel in Pricing and African Routing! I agree 100% with all you critique, with the exception of the issue you had with the noise due to cargo loading. That’s probably unavoidable, however loud music in the cabin is unacceptable! Hopefully someone at ET watches this Review and takes the needed steps to implement positive changes. BTW I’m flying ET in February from YYZ in J Class. Looking forward to it. Not Expecting SQ quality, but will be very happy if it’s equal to AC, UA, or DL. Regarding the Lounge access. Yes carriers have a right to limit entry to their lounge, for non passengers when busy. Having said that, ET should have had a designated lounge with another Carrier, as your first option. Had that been the LH lounge (example) then they would be obligated to accept you. Other partners could choose to accept you, space being available! I would have pointed out, that you were not informed which lounge to report to. That is a very inexcusable lack of service!

For everyone complaining that this video report is more negative than positive I would refer you to watch videos from Sam Choi. He always gives a great review! 🤦‍♂️😆😆😆🙄 One thing I noticed, was the recording of the qualities like the Electric Power Plug, the Storage Space and the Menu. Just cuz they were only pictures doesn’t diminish the positive review!

I'd rely on reviews that shows the downsides of things. Airlines strive to maintain consistency, but not every passenger will have the same experience. It's always good to be aware of the potential cons in an experience and I think this review just highlighted them well. This is why I would often watch multiple reviews to weigh the pros and cons of an airline's product as nothing is ever perfect. Even top carriers have flaws too and good experience can be subjective.
