Jackie is playing one of the stunt doubles in this fight scene but that Whang In-Sik kicks in the face but Jackie is so fast you can’t spot him or can you? J.C. also brought in the Whang because he wanted to capture the beauty and fluidity of his hapkido fighting style in film.

Agreed what also made this great was the fact that this was the first time you see a fighting style that was fast, raw and brutal compared to a typical kung fu movie, also his speed was real and confirmed by JC that they didn't speed up the fight scene the only things they did was add powder and wires

I think that one of his stuntman can’t follow the choreography and the other stuntmen did their part, so JC have to step in as the stunt double on this scene.

It was confirmed by Jackie that his speed was real and they didn't need to speed it up the only things they did was add powder and wires for the explosive power and effect, now this is how you make fight scenes not relying on crappy cgi
