I think AI will be man's biggest mistake. It can potentially do amazing things, but it's Pandora's box. Why would we want to invent something more intelligent and thus superior to ourselves, and why do we think we're smart enough to harness that? We can't be sure of that. I've always been fascinated with science and technology, but as i get older I wonder - why are we not satisfied with what we've got? Why the constant push for bigger, better, more...?

Total coding noob here, but what I've never understood is how assembly coding is more efficient than high level languages despite using more instructions? Like, do the added instructions not result in more work for the CPU? Or is it just that high level languages/compilers are so inefficient that they do even more added steps than assembly?

To put it as simple as possible even tho this simplicity is still not that simple is that Assembly programming language is when someone has the understanding of both hardware and software most modern devs don't have even a grasp on using Assembly there is no such thing as lags and everything is rendered in CPU

Why do religious people think, something makes somebody atheist? You are born an atheist, and it's your parents (usually) who make you believe in god, it's not the other way... My parents never forced me to be an atheist, and I'm pretty much sure, i can just start to belive in god any time i want... But i don't think benefits of religion are greater than negatives anymore... With educated society we have (middle school is pretty much enough in this case) people, police, and law system, we don't need to believe in Sky Daddy, to know that they are supposed not to do something..... There is no need for it, and it keeps being highly corrupted and pushing against progress

Great video, but please turn down the volume of the background music. I can barely hear you over the music and its extremely distracting/disorienting. Other than that, love the video and content. Chris Sawyer is one of the goats and he went out on top to live a quiet life. Now, the world needs him again, but he earned the right to peace.

This is a great video. No doubt. I would like to interject that x86 ASM is actually human readable machine code. It is *essentially* a 1 for 1 translation of machine code. While not easy to read, with proper training and experience it is quite readable. I understand I am splitting hairs here, but it is closer to machine code than C or C++ will ever be, while remaining "readable" to humans. This game is absolutely incredible.

The author of the video has poor knowledge of asm or C. If rollercoaster tycoon were written in C TODAY, not back in the day when it was created, the C generated assembly would probably be faster. Thats because the compiler optimalization has gone so far, that it is virtually almost impossible to write better assembly than the compiler.

If i had to vote for the most genius game designer i guess i would vote for the people behind the rollercoaster tycoon games espicaly the 3. Or the dude that made skyrim my favorite game. Then the witcher 3 maker are also a hot canidate. But if i have to pick only one i would pick Namco Bandai. Those guys puplish the best games over all. So if they also produce them i would take them because every game form them is a huge everygreen for me tbh.
