In Karnataka, this paasi paruppu is not steamed. Water is drained from the soaked paruppu. The rest of the process is almost identical. Lemon juice is added if raw mango or amchur is unavailable. Raw cucumber, grated carrots are also added for color and crunch

Hi Neeru Amma... I made this Sunday today using sprouted moong beans... Used just a handful since I was trying it for first time and couldn't taste in between... Moong beans Sundal really came out very flavorful esp adding ghee made it more tastier... Thank you for sharing the recepie for beginners like me...Despite having very limited to no knowledge of Tamil language I could make it using the KZbin recipie 😍😎💛💚❤️💖💜.
