This is proven by their confessions to a priest, pergatory and the easing of the time spent there, and that Mary and the saints hold the merit of the redemption to distribute. This way of belief and teaching keeps the believer in guilt and shame hence the teaching of the Catholic church that your good works will get you where you want to be. Redemption by the blood of Jesus from your Catholic friends means something different than what scripture and you teach.
