Great tutorial, but the original panty-material was gathered when the elastic was installed along the waistband and leg openings, that would mean that the original panty was constructed with more material so that it could be gathered and have that give/stretch at the waistband and around the leg and bum to expand over the hips and around curves, make adjustments here and the panty would be prefect. If you had put the original panty next to the one you just made, everyone could have seen that the one you just made was much smaller. Perhaps start with a panty 2 or three sizes up and the end result might be the size you wanted.
