I just fill the transmission fluid less than 4 ltrs, it is about 3.7-3.9 ltrs. And when i checked the dipstick after warm up the engine, i see the fluid is between the two marks, it is under the top mark about 2 milimeters. Is that true?

Lifetime oil does not mean 25 years or 50 years or 100 years. The life time of the car is 5 years, life time of a gearbox is allso 5 years or less. It's the factory waranty wich reprisents a life time of a car part. So if your brand new car has a factory waranty of 3 or 5 years, that is the life time of your car. Any time after that is pure luck that evry thing continues to function....they don't make than as they use to....

If you see an oil leak, dont assume what you take out is what fluid you fill again. Always check the dipstick with car running and ATF at 120 degrees.

You have not changed the transmission fluid, 90 % is in the torque converter.

If the car is really old you might as well replace the cylinders too, lest they leak on you like mine currently are lol. It's so bad I can't even get the drum off, so I just bought a new knuckle for $30.

Unfortunately, you haven't changed the transmission fluid, 80% is still in the transmission. It is not the same as an engine.

Either very little contact or resistance to spinning the drum with your hand, or find that point and back it off one-2 clicks until there's no resistance, but it'll fix itself after you drive for a bit as the material breaks in and wears down. Also don't forget to take off the parking brake or else you won't be able to remove the drums.

I'm gonna use your video to remove all 4 fender liners on my 2020 Accent. I like how you mention cleaning the areas before installing the new liner. I'm just gonna reinstall my old liners on all 4 wheel wells because they're in great shape, BUT, I'm gonna cover all the inner ledges of the wheel well with axel grease so it doesn't rust!

Given that fresh ATF FZ is blue in color, the stuff drained from your transmission was filthy indeed. I use a suction pump to regularly replace 4 litres of used ATF with fresh FZ in my Mazda 3. Since the FW6 transmission cannot be flushed, that's as close as it gets for me.

I just did a flush yesterday in my mazda 3 17 2.5 auto. And only 3.4 liter came out… So i put back this amount and everything seem right. But im wondering why there a so « big » difference with you who got almost 4 liter out from only drain and refill? Any idea?

Engine oil can be called lifetime fluid too if you expect it to die in 50k miles or less. It’s a horrible trend in new cars to call transmission fluid lifetime.

Hey, the Mazda Owner's Manual states that the capacity of Skyactiv G 1.5L has the capacity of 7.2L of transmission oil. Your method only use around 4.6L. How do you justify the volume? Can the oil volume inside the transmission (filter + pan), actually decreased due to wear and tear, thus you need to refill full 7.2L, or simply 4.6L considered as adequate (though, not ideal, perhaps??)
