If this government has allowed Boliden mining a Swedish based company with links to NATO now a non neutral country,,,to extract zinc vital to our unique landscape , which is the component to regulate glycogen levels in polarised light in manalian liver ,then they have threatened the lives and liver of every soil based lifeform on our archipelago of islands....Our headlands will become infected by contaminated insects as their natural predators will not have the energy to hunt ..turning the tropical disease filter of our western headlands receiving contaminated insects from the trade winds ,into a mosquito swamp uninhabitable for alll....and who stands to profit from that ?..the largest anti histamine producers Johnson and Johnsom Pzifer and our recent experiences become a recurrence ....Hands of our zinc and have Boliden publish their share shareholders list as required by the Company Law Act 2013...it makes for some reading.🎉🎉🎉

Wind farms produce no power over a year. Electric cars run on coal, oil and gas. Try running a country on wind energy for one day. It cannot be done.

Hi , thanks for putting this up - but can I suggest that the text all appears at once rather than appears letter by letter - and disappears letter by letter too - it's hard to pause the video so that the instructions can be read step by step.

Mapping groundwater floods in part of Ireland. Surely a joint approach with the north's Geological Survey is not beyond the realms of possibility, especially after the Tellus Project?!

The really cool video would be great to get some comments on the data as a voice-over., explaining such as why Galways has such a large throughput of water in relation to the rock type and hydrogeological characteristics of the area. Also, any jobs going?

Thanks to the Geological Survey, and the geothermal association of Ireland for having me. It was great fun to come up and speak about my time in NZ geothermal research. Just to flag a few things with the talk: 1) Sorry the end is very rushed - I very quickly realized I have ran out of time but you can still see a lot of the work done in geothermal research in New Zealand at the GNS website and in the papers that the amazing researchers there publish. 2) I was wrong when I said there were no borehole seismometers in the Wairakei seismicity study - there were of course, you can read more about that in any of the great conference proceedings papers by Fabian Sepulveda of Contact Energy. 3) If any other inconsistencies in what I talked about are spotted here feel free to flag them and discuss them here. Science is better with debate. Thanks again! :)
