Do I indicate out of my parking spot and also do i indicate coming out of the driving centre
@dawnblackadiАй бұрын
No for leaving the parking bay but yes for leaving the test centre out into road

The left hand lane was left only. So how could someone possibly be coming from the left into the round about? Ideally she won't be blocking anyone when she moved to left right? (Unless somebody used the "left only" lane to go straight ahead)

Is the shell entrance always considered an exit?

I’ve never seen them signs before, the closest I’ve seen to them is the advisory 20mph speed limit outside of a school. ☺️

It can be very difficult to judge the left side as a new driver because you’re scared to hit the kerb.
@WayneTulip-zm9gw4 ай бұрын
I’m not sure why they did that, maybe they thought it was a one-way road.
@WayneTulip-zm9gw4 ай бұрын
That’s a bit of a strange unusual layout as the cars entering and exiting use the same space but it’s often best for cars in the middle to clear first before cars from the outside enter the middle, this helps with traffic flow and it’s also safer of course, both have give way lines which simply means both need to give way to traffic on the main road but when there is nothing on the main road and there is a car waiting at the give way lines nobody has priority and eye contact and a decision has to be made as to who would like to go first, it’s often courteous to let the driver waiting the longest go first but often letting the cars in the middle clear first before entering the middle from the outside aids with traffic flow and it’s obviously also safer.

Hello Dawn Thank you for this video. I was told today on my driving test to follow the signs to Portlethen and I remembered this video explaining to follow the right lane to 3rd exit. I passed my driving test. Thank you so much for this useful information. I appreciate. God bless you. 🙏

Thank you so much for the videos. I've passed my test because of you and the way you take your time to explain properly. I'm not from here so it was quite difficult to get someone who I could understand. You have a nice paced voice and take the time to pronounce your words. I actually understand roundabouts with you and not with my instructor. You are amazing thanks again 🙏🙏🙏🙏

i think its a poorly designed road too as it is still wide enough for 2 cars to pass which encourages people to squeeze through
@pipandbenji Жыл бұрын
One of my pet hates, particularly on poorly sighted junctions where you want to turn right, keep to the centre line and a vehicle does this across you.

Roundabouts-So many of them and yet they are often so badly taken by drivers...

Strange thing to do!
@dawnblackadi Жыл бұрын
Yes it was! I think they took the wrong turn and wanted to merge back onto the dual carriageway! Only thing to do in that situation is to continue off and find a safe place to turn around - here there is a road about at the end of the slip road!

Hi Dawn. I’ve been learning to drive for a few months now while watching videos here on KZbin. This is the first time I’ve come across your channel and I appreciate the fault. Focus snapshots you’re uploading. Very helpful.
