This is a great tutorial of the Cats Craddle, I have never seen this block before. I just got my cat's Cradle ruler under the impression that it was going to help me with the perfect flying geese. Sew my question is can the ruler be used for flying geese also? 😀

Fabulous!!! Beautiful pattern and fabrics. I love Halloween. Working on my first halloween quilt for my granddaughter. I'm kinda following the pattern im using, but making adjustments here and there to match my skills at this time. I'm new to quilting so I find I'm much less intimidated working with larger pieces of fabric. I love this pattern, but seeing all those small squares and triangles and having to worry about so many seams to be straight and points matching, yikes!! I'm gonna practice sewing all those flying geese, but 3-4 x larger squares and triangles. 😂 I'm eventually gonna put all my less than perfect sewing together into a crazy quilt!

And yet again another KZbinr taking credit for techniques that have been around for 30 years. We taught this technique over 30 yrs ago at my quilt shop. The pioneers of quilting are being forgotten. Nothing new under the sun.

Would have been helpful to NOT use a square quilt. When calculating do you use largest side or smallest for yardage? Most quilts aren’t square

I thought the idea of the folded corner clipper type ruler was to eliminate the drawing of lines. Cut, sew, then press.

Another video that is very helpful to me. I'm new to quilting & these border fabrics have puzzled me, especially in the Little Peepers line by Shelly Comisky. I would have given up on these quilts & never made another one ... BUT your wonderful videos have encouraged me! Thanks again!

This is SO helpful! I got the 2 free patterns & all the fabric for Little Peepers by Shelly Comisky. BUT I had no idea about these details & so cut my center panel wrong; & mistakes compounded from there. The free patterns give NO CLUE as to various problems that can be encountered. The customer support from Henry Glass was awesome. And YOUR VIDEOS are so helpful. I just wish I had seen them before I started on these 2 quilts! Some of my fabrics were definitely skewed from the bolt & there seems to be no way to correct that. Another mistake I made is to wash my flannels before cutting. Or I 'steam shrink' the fabric before cutting. That definitely alters the measurements. From now on, I'll be mindful of some of the potential problems & avoid them. Again, your videos are very helpful. THANK YOU1

Thanks for the explanation. I’m in the UK and have been using Aurifil threads for a while but I was a bit confused by the extent of the range. I mainly use 50 and 12. I have tried the 80 but it’s just too fine for my eyes.

Why make the boarder smaller after you put it on ??
