Salut Matthieu! We see your talent every week, and get a glimpse of your transcriptions and variations, but this is truly special. A beautiful piece. Haunting yet uplifting. I'd love to see the organ and choir chart just to "listen to it in my head" as I read it. Bravo!

It you count the walking bass, it's actually 8 parts: 5 voice parts, 2 violin parts, continuo. Granted, the continuo doesn't participate in the fugue, but it's an obbligato part.

I happened upon this today, and as I hadn't heard it in a few years, I listened to it again. There is nothing I don't love about this: the music, the lyrics, the bringing together of so many musicians, professional and amateur, and Matthieu's direction and production. I'm so proud to have been a part of it.
