It comes down to how you train your body. What kind of physical coordination and balance does your physical frame possess? The biggest difference between Wilt and other big men legends like Kareem, Shaq, Dwight, Yao Ming, and David Robinson is that Wilt never had that awkward phase of clumsiness that a 6'10, 14yr old would most likely have like those other centers did have who I just mentioned. Jabber couldn't bench press 600 lbs. The Admiral couldn't run the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds, and Shaq couldn't throw a football from end zone to end zone. Wilt did all of the things with ease.

It was Charles Barkley who beat Shaq i a bench press competition, not Wilt, but you are right that Wilt was the strongest in NBA history. Schwarzenegger, who had a verified bench of 500, said Wilt was much stronger than him. It is on a youtube vid, as is the Barkley Shaq contest.

Nope, nope and nope. Making a point with a picture from Space Jam, the runs there still come up as a rarity like the Dream Team practices. Magic and Thomas being friends was so rare they did articles and NBC segments between games often on the topic

god every American i see get mad over Lyles comment dosent even understand what hes saying because they are too busy being offended. Nobody is doubting currently that the Boston Celtics are the best basketball team in the world! they are just not world champions because they play in a “NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION”. USA won the international competition and are the world champions. When the best football team in the world wins the championships league they are crowned as EUROPEAN champions because they a EUROPEAN LEAGUE

Tell me you don’t know ball without saying you don’t know ball. The Bulls in the 80s and 90s had the slowest pace of all the teams. That 100.8 is avg team pace. Bulls were more like 90 pace or something back then. What’s more is that avg FTA is not a good metric, foul calls were mostly at the end of games in foul time because games were a lot closer back then, you didn’t have a lot of 20-30 pt blowouts. Games were often decided by low single digits. Illegal defense is a bad excuse, why? Because illegal defense does not mean you couldn’t double. It means you had to stay relatively close to your man which actually forced all players to play defense unlike today when offensive superstars stay midway to act as help defenders (and hence rest) so defense was better in that era for sure. Jordan faced plenty of double triple teams (read the Jordan rules and actually watch game tape). There was hand checking back then which meant the defender could control where the ball handler went. Furthermore, the biggest difference was the defensive 3 second rule which clogged the lanes and Jordan still shot ~70% at the rim. Also, Jordan was not a bad 3 point shooter. He was still above avg during his era (even on non shortened line). He took barely 1 a game but when he took upwards of 3, he avged 38%. Jordan never grew up with a 3 ball, if he did, he would easily shoot 40%+ with modern spacing given how he already did 38% on 3 attempts a game. The more you take, the better you make. Jordan would avg 45+ today easily.

Without sheed, they ain’t winning their first one over the pacers let alone against the spurs. Maybe they win against the heat but idk if they beat the mavs. Sheed was a big part of their semi dynasty. In 04, he was still better than melo offensively. While melo over takes him probably in the second year w that, defensively it is such a downgrade. You have to remember they are going against Duncan in 05. 04 Jermaine O’neal. Like Carmelo will not be able to defend them at all.

Don definitely didn’t peak as a rookie. He averaged between 15-23 for 10 years his best season was 89-90 and he fell off when he chose to go be a role player on the stacked bulls team. Went from averaging 20ppg to 7
