This is a stretch, but would you happen to know the length of the 4 main poles? I own this tent and have had years of memories in it. I just pitched it last night to get my niece and nephew into camping but realized the poles are missing. I’ll be ordering replacement poles but I’m not certain of their length. I’ve scoured the internet trying to find the specifications for pole lengths for this tent and can’t find anything. I’m searching KZbin videos of this Red Canyon tent as a last resort. Thanks.

Packing gauze may not stop arterial bleeding, hemostatic one most certainly could. Great video after all, although there are some mistakes in the gear organization that i've spotted, ofc it''s all about usecase scenario, but for example I don't remember seeing any disinfection stuff, also I saw cheap chinese chest seals, only 1 TQ (thumbs up because its a CAT and not some chinese stuff), I'd also add some aditional lighting, secure trauma shears cause they will fall out
@fortnutowicz35376 ай бұрын
And 18:05, if you don''t know how to use the stuff that you have, I'd suggest switching it for something diffrent or learn how to use those
@Greatgadgetsgear6 ай бұрын
Agree, packing gauze alone won’t stop an arterial bleed, I like hemostatic sponges I don’t know if they make the sponge version anymore. Yes I did mention the cheap chest seals, as I did mention, I like the Hyfin seals. I have some on order along with a septic and a few other things. Yes, I like quality tourniquets and there’s only one in this kit, due to the fact that I have a ton of different kits that also have cat tourniquets in them, it can get expensive doubling and tripping up every single kit I have. Agree with you on the lighting. And yes I need to dummy cord the shears. Thanks all good tips.

Major burns on a large area -> don't cool. These patients get hypothermia, so keep them warm. Cover up the burn with plastic wrap. Just the regular stuff you use on your food will do. Covering up the exposed nerve endings from wind will reduce pain and keep infections out. This is verified info, approved by multiple guidelines like EMSB. For the budget minded people: don't buy Chinese tourniquets (they don't work), except for Rhino Rescue brand ones. I have tested those multiple times and they work well. They are a real brand exporting medical products on mass scale to 2nd and 3th world countries. They have lots of good, cheap trauma stuff I can recommend. Suture kits or staplers are things you would only ever use in the extreme backcountry. A tube of super glue will work for small stuff. The reality is that you will just bandage everything up with gauze and then get them to the hospital. I would throw almost all of the suturing and big syringes and stuff out and put more gauze in. Splints and improvised splinting skills are great. Aspirin for heart attacks (or anything that looks like it). 250mg can't hurt. Ibuprofen, antidiarrheal,... Stethoscopes with thick tubing from AliExpress work amazing. There are also lots of good Raptor shear clones. Try them before relying on them. Thermometer and blood glucose meter are great too. Pocket BVM is also a great tool, but you need to know how to use it. Like the bag.

We've had ours for about a year and they haven't held up as well as I'd hoped. The lids are very difficult sometimes and as a result many of mine have cracked or completely broken off. Love that they're stackable and seal well but unfortunately they're going to wind up in the landfill way before my old Tupperware branded stuff does (some from the 60's is STILL good).
