what happen if its a moving camera and the line moves with the camera instead of staying in place?
@davido1588 Жыл бұрын
If you're talking about a PTZ camera, the line doesn't move with the pan/tilt/zoom movements. If you're talking about physically moving a camera from one location to another, then the line stays fixed on the screen and any object that crosses the line will have the same effect as the line crossing the object.

I have a question about alerts. When I get a line crossing alert and the subject stands there for say 4 seconds, I got like 14 alerts to my mobile device. How can you set a delay between events so that you only get one alert per event and not 14 ? is that possible. This is the biggest problem is i get about 180 events just in the first 8 hours of the day.

Apologies if I missed it, but can you post what settings you have for the image? Like any brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness, exposure shutter speed, gain, IR lighting, brightness limits, BLC, WDR, HLC, White balance, DNR values. I've tried this on "LocalServiceComponent" (Win10 20H2) and unfortunately it doesn't work for this - has anyone else found this to be a problem?
@cctvprof3 жыл бұрын
I think Hikvision made their iVMS-4200 and HikCentral Control Client software so it is not required to run as Admin anymore. However, last I knew, if you run it while you are logged in as Admin, then you will get the UAC prompt, but if you run it as a non-Admin, then there will not be a UAC prompt.
@TC2_3 жыл бұрын
@@cctvprof fair enough. This current local service component tries to run on startup and has a UAC prompt, and denying it stops it being picked up by Edge/etc. I'll keep having a dig with permissions. Cheers

Great video thanks. can you see any reason a lower end Darkfighter camera such as DS-2CD2655FWD-IZS or DS-2CD2H55FWD-IZS would not work assuming 12mm is sufficient? I have fixed 2.8mm turret and it does not reach far enough and I am not able to discern any numberplate at night.
@cctvprof4 жыл бұрын
Those are "Powered by DarkFighter". They can work. You need to make sure you will have at least 60 pixels per foot on target. Those cameras should work up to about 95 ft. as far as pixels on target. The bullet would be better for night with stronger IR light.
@seancoleman32264 жыл бұрын
@@cctvprof thanks heaps for the reply. I was mistaken, I have a 3MP 4mm turret currently. I will do a more accurate distance measurement but I think 95 ft will suffice quite well. Is there a difference between powered by Darkfighter and Darkfighter lens and is this what makes the price difference so large?
@cctvprof4 жыл бұрын
@@seancoleman3226 DarkFighter cameras have a better image sensor and lens that allows them to see with much less light. Those are only some of the differences. DarkFighter cameras exist in the 5 and 7 series of professional and DeepinView camera lines. They can have more video analytics, more impact resistance, a heater, stronger IR and better WDR. The actual Hikvision LPR camera that automatically recognizes license plates is a 2 MP DarkFighter bullet camera. It's a DeepinView camera and it detects the vehicle before reading the license plate, which makes it more accurate. The previous model just recognized text and it would pick up other text on vehicles and sometimes non-text objects that look like text to a camera. Here are the newer part numbers: DS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZHS DS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZHS8

But as night much different, can read the parked plate very well but moving vehicles really just getting blurred white. The entire image is not as clean as yours. Playing with settings, trying from 100 to 1000 exposure and various other settings. The digital noise reduction makes the general image a bit clearer but I am concerned it might be reducing effectiveness. Also when you refer to gain- is that the brightness setting? Any idea how to do this with ivms mobile app that goes direct to the camera? ...since you can't add custom protocols there...
@cctvprof5 жыл бұрын
The reason I used a custom protocol in this software was to force the main stream to be used as the sub stream as well. That is not necessary in the mobile apps. If you just add the camera to the app, it may give you all of its channels. Have you tried it?
@dougiefresh74755 жыл бұрын
