you did not reset it properly with the tweezers, the seconds would have been around 7-8 seconds when you turned the watch around, yet it was 50 seconds.

Blower aircond saya lepas 2 jam mesti dia akan pusing perlahan. Lepastu terus tak keluar angin. Bila off blower dalam 10-15 minit, on balik dia akan laju balik macam biasa. Sebab carbon brush jugak ka?

My dad passed away some months ago, and today me and my mom gathered the courage to clean the room and some boxes around the house with some stuff, found one of this G-Shock GDF-100, it doesn't look broken, it's off, i suppose it ran out of battery while being stored in that box, hope it can be revived/fixed, he worked for ears in wildfires, helicopter rescue operations and other stuff, I'm about to finish studying in the university for forest ranger following his steps trying to be awesome and live like every day is the last one, always wanted a clock like this Btw, i hope i can take it to someone to make it work so i can keep it close and make it live more adventures :3

Update: it works! At first I was scared of giving it an intense use, but slowly i tested it, Fist at a small rain it survived Then I tried washing my hands Then I used it in the shower it survived Still hasn't sumerged it, but I'm glad to see it can hold a full spray under the shower

You should buy the correct battery model as written on manual. This is to avoid spacing problem in the battery slot. Thanks buddy! 😉

@@waynenoel4670 Dont remember the size, but bought them in ebay. One thing to notice is if the carbon brushes of your motor are worn to the point that the metal wire inside them are making contact with the rotor, probably you'll need a new motor. Because if the brush worn out to that point, the wire inside the brush will damage the rotor and make it porous, and new brushes will be eaten away in less than a week. That's what happened to me... Solved the problem getting a blower replacement in a junkyard, for just $35.

Thank you so much for this vid. I was going crazy as i tried to change the battery for this watch. Got it on Canary islands for 80 Euros in 2011, and i still like it and use it sometimes. But the batt. replacement is one of the worst i ever experienced. For my Edifice its much more easy to change a batt. Good Vid. Thx

Hey, i replaced the brushes. But now it gives squeeqing/scratching noise…i tried to fit it again and again…but when i start the fan, it sounds fine for the first 2 minutes…then it starts wining…can you tell me what that sound is of?

Hye have you do proper sanding on the commutator? To ensure good and smooth contact with the carbons. If the commutator plate has minor bending, it will creates carbon residue downwards( inside copper bush) then create some noises.

No i didn’t clean the commutator thoroughly like you did. I am afraid that i might do it too much. Can you please tell me which size sandpaper did you use?

@@ahmadfarooq5919 i use 1000 grit sandpaper. Also note to apply some sewing machine oil to the copper bushes for smooth rotation.
