always loved the Clovelly Herring especially the soft roe, in the 70s we used to come down from Bideford for a lobster meal, and it was a Perham who had the little restaurant , later on Viv Foster got us our entry into Cape Breton Canada beautiful memories. 🙏♥

I remember him from when I was a child, riding his horse around the village. On a Sunday he’d often lead the kids from Sunday school around the church dancing to Lord of the Dance. He was a very kind man.

I used to net fish on the River Dart near Stoke Gabriel , with my uncle and father and cousin , back in the 70's when you could make good money, 14 hour day in the summer months , no licences any more, just memories .
