@jaimemonreal1197 Жыл бұрын
Park at the tower hill lot, Tower Hill Road off of 611. Trail starts and ends there. There’s a map of the trails posted on the lot. Hard to get lost in there. Super fun. Warning: South Park is very rocky which is where the gnome garden is. But it’s still fun

Got the same in teal, awesome ride. Do kinda wish i spent more for 8 but i got a good chunk of money knocked off the bike cause someone tried to steal it out of the shop during a busy day and didn't get far ha. Hey man, how dose the slash 7 feel when climbing?. I'm pretty much sold on getting one but just a little put off by it not having a lockout for the front at least. thanks
@5centmtb9233 жыл бұрын
I’ve never done any huge climbs with it and it’s definitely not the best climber. After all, it is a slacked out enduro bike. BUT it will get you to the top. You just won’t win any climbing races.

In my opinion, the Slash 8 offer so much more value. I got mine when it was 4000, so only 300 more than the 7. Since this video is from October, let's consider it with the Slash 8 at 4000 and the 7 at 3700. For 300, you get: - better drivetrain with more upgradability (hub compatibility) - a MASSIVE suspension upgrade from the Yari to the Lyrik Select+ and from a Deluxe to the Super Deluxe Ultimate Thru-Shaft (which is an absolute DREAM). Btw I get your decision to get the 7 if you'll change the shock and fork, just writing this for the general person. I convinced a friend of mine to go the extra 300 and he did not regret it! Anyways, whatever bike you ride, have fun!

Ya so the guide T’s really arnt that bad however I got the 7 because of the color knowing I would upgrade things down the road. Brakes will get upgraded eventually but it’s not on the top of the list. If that helps.

I haven’t found a coil shock with the dimensions for the slash, at least for my 2016. Rockshox custom makes shocks specifically for this bike’s production, and I’ve only found a Cane Creek coil that fits, but it has less travel. Lmk if you’ve found something.

Nice bike man. Love that red. I dont know how much you paid for your slash, but i checked their website and it's 3500 for this model. YT offers a way better package then trek at 3500 price point. Carbon frame, with fox, and sram component.
@5centmtb9234 жыл бұрын
I had a YT before this. I didn’t have any issues with mine however, I read a lot about YT’s carbon frames having issues and YT having some pretty bad customer service. So yes, I could have gotten more bike for the price but I also get some awesome customer service and to me that’s worth it.
