People think it's a game of stategy but but the dice make it a game of history. Germany is now invading China while the British have expanded their Empire throughout Africa and the middle-east.

Question: 1. if an attacking unit expends 2MF to enter a building, could a defending unit fire twice on that hex-- once for each MF expended? - OR - 2. the defending unit can only fire once regardless of the MF expended by the attacker to make the move into the hex. I know that if the attacker expends further MF in the same hex (i.e. places a DC, retrieves SW, or places smoke) then it could be attacked again

Excellent tutorial; thank you very much. Quick question; your demo with the first stormtrooper seems to suggest that you can't use the same action twice in the same activation phase, e.g. can't use "move" for both actions. Is this correct?

These were sold only in France and they're printed in French. You can find them on Ebay, but this particular version sells in the thousands of dollars now. Crazy!

We used to add a house rule, that tried to replicate the intrigue that characterized the era. After the province cards were dealt out, each player got to draw ‘secret allies’. For this we printed another set of province cards in blue, which we shuffled and dealt out: each player got one card for each five provinces held, rounding up ( so if you have 13 province cards you get 3 Bllue cards). Then we had a set of red province cards and each player got one, regardless of how many province cards they held. During the game you can reveal a blue card at any time during a round, even after an attack has been declared. The province immediately becomes your’s and you now own any provincial troops and fortifications. A red card works the same way, but overrides a blue card if it has been played: this means that there can be a rare double betrayal. It added an element of uncertainty to play that we found really interesting. We also tried increasing the frequency of blue and red cards, but finally settled on the 3/1 pattern.

Hey man I have a doubt so if the central powers attack a neutral power (eg: Germany attacks holland) Can the allies put US units there and get US into the war before turn 4?

I don’t want to read through 44 comments, but I’m guessing someone did cover the following slight error in phrasing, or egregious error if Harsh is interpreted strictly: The person who drops the DEFCON level to DEFCON one (🤯) is NOT the loser as Ben said. Rather, the loser is the person who is on turn (aka: phasing player ) when the nuclear war begins. This is a VITAL distinction to keep in mind because during your turn, you can easiky make a terrible misplay allowing your opponent to Coup in a battleground causing the nuclear war. They are not the loser, instead you are Because Armageddon happened on your turn.

What an excellent tutorial. I’ve always wanted to play this game but I don’t think it lends itself to solo play, not even the tried and tested left hand vs right hand method.

Not even half way through the video and already writing a command. Very clear explanation. nicely structured and organized and very clear speech. in addition you even made the work of visualizing everything. i can only imagine how much work u put into these videos. This is the kind of tutorial i want to see from many other games. no bullshit, no jokes. just exactly what i need when i want to see a tutorial.

I've noticed a few mistakes in this video. A big one is about Surprise Strike/Submerge and AAA guns as all being pre-combat. Only AAA guns are pre-combat. Surprise Strike/Submerge can happen every round. The actual rule written on pg. 19 of the Europe 1940 Second Edition manual reads: "As long as there are attacking and/or defending submarines and no opposing destroyers, this step is repeated during each round of combat."

Is a tactical bomber (carrier based or otherwise) limited to attacking only air and naval bases or are all other targets (except for industrial complexes) allowed as well?
@toxicsamurai2970Ай бұрын
I dont think its stated anywhere, but it wouldnt really make sense to put tac and strat bombers on the attack strip graphic without the ability to attack normal troops. they didnt put the aircraft carrier on the attack strip presumably because it can only defend, and bombing raids are just a couple rolls so not really worth using rhe attack strip. also- remember that tanks support tac bombers on attack, improving tac bombers to a 4 rating attack value. these lead me to believe both strat and tac bombers can do bombing raids as well as participate in normal combat.
