@8:04 minimum number on a die means "greater or equal"; 0 >= 9 is not true, so one of the barrage shots misses, only the other one hits, because 9 >= 9.

During the amphibious assault where the defender is allowed to take pre emptive shots with his artillery does he get to use them again and their infantry promotion ability as part of the ensuing regular combat?

Something tells me the cross shaped "target" straps were not designed like that on accident. The generals of old did seem to start developing an idea that their soldiers were just expendable pawns in their real-life war game.

Would love an updated rules with PoK expansion and the downloadable "living" content would be great.

Watched several videos before finding these. Fantastic and clear. Can someone confirm the action phase... Does a player work through the 5 sub-actions for a sector and then pass the action to the next player? Does this happen as many times as they have tokens, and can they do their (free) strategic action as one of these, or in addition to it?

I love the videos. Just to be nitpicky Burma includes Rangoon and hex 2108, I only say these because they weren't shaded in the video but I suppose it's because you were highlighting the Kwai Bridge and the railroad from Bangkok to Rangoon

During the India segment the slide and video mention that when India revolts the Allies lose 1 political will space. In reality they lose 2. This is later stated correctly in the Political Will segment slide.

Wonderful Video. I have some observations: One thing about Critical Hits: even if you can't damage an enemy unit mathematically, you are allowed to inflict a step loss on the lowest defense unit that you are allowed to hit. If MA air rolls a 9 they could choose to damage either 22 AF or the CA Mogami (both have a defense of 10) but NOT BB Kongo (defense of 14). The Matador card bonus adds to the defense STRENGTH of allied air units (the second number along the bottom of the counter) NOT to the die roll. So MA Air's defense in this offensive will be 9+2=11. For practical purposes it won't make a difference because the Japanese attack of 45 means it will inflict the same number of step losses for each combat result (1/4x = 12 hits -> 1 loss, 1/2x = 23 hits -> 2 step losses, 1x = 45 hits -> 2 step losses Notice I wrote 12 above and not 11. In Empire of the Sun you always ROUND UP with all fractions, even if it's just 0.25. This has important implications for some battles when you try to add up your strengths to guarantee a hit against an enemy unit. So 45 strength will always score at least 12 hits (11.25x). The Player Aid battle factor chart makes this obvious. As mentioned in another comment the 3rd Indian Corps can damage the 38th Army with a 7 or 8 as well as a 9, since the 1.5x multiplier will result in 14 hits, enough to flip the army.

Step 1: Also activate Offensive Event bonuses that place reinforcements on the map. For example: Slim's card puts the Armored Brigade into play.

Clarification on Future Offensive Card to win Initiative, it's an event play but it must be a Military (Black) EC Play, you would not be allowed to play Political or Resource cards as events to win initiative.

I was wondering what software you use to record your videos. The graphic effects are outstanding. I wanted to record some of my vassal playthroughs and possibly post them on utube for some of my favorite wargames but dont know where to start. Any thoughts you have would be really appreciated.

Risk 2210 AD is still one of my favorite board games ever! One thing I didn't realize we did wrong, but I like is not discarding the commander cards when the commander dies. Instead, they are deactivated if you don't have that commander and you need to rebuy that commander to use them.

At 19:07, the chart shows the German MMG with a FP of 12, but your multiplying as if it is 8 FP. What am I missing?

You may find interesting the 2010 release of Risk was the first released to go back to the classic version after revised (2008). That release actually retained the Star card system for getting more troops as opposed to the old accumulated method of getting more troops as the game went on. That release had new short game rules that involved a cease fire card in the card deck. It lacked mission risk and capital risk rules however.
