The video is nice but you left out how to reset the car after service. Most people would like to know how.

On the steering wheel. Press mode until you see the oil change screen. Press and hold reset button, while on said screen.

I have a question. When the car is up on the ramps the oil plug is not on the down side. In this case, all of the old oil is not going to be able to drain out, correct? If the plug was on the downside then it would all drain out. Is it OK to leave that residual old oil in the pan? I'm guessing it won't be very much, possibly a 1/3 or 1/4 of a quart. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated! Thank you Sir!

When I do a change I buy the 5 quart container, well our cars only take 4.5 quarts so that last .5 I save for a oil change to flush out the oil pan

@@Nickwarner36 So it's OK to leave the oil in the car that doesn't drain out and go ahead and put the new oil on top of it?
@TheRealChilly5 жыл бұрын
@@Nickwarner36 how do you drain it properly if it's on ramps. What's the max height you can go on jacks to properly empty the pan. I own both stands and ramps. Ramps are like 16" in height. Stands are 12-18". Ramps you sit on the tires at a higher angle. Stands are behind the wheel reducing angle. But what's appropriate,

I just picked up my Orange 2016 Turbo with only 4k miles for $12k. So happy! Best little car I've ever owned. Definitely gonna put full synthetic oil in asap. I bought ramps like yours and I have a sloped driveway so I'm thinking that once it's on the ramps nose downward on the driveway it'll actually be level. Might work out perfect. Quick question: Do I need to remove any plastic under panels to get to the oil drain and filter?

@Nickwarner366 жыл бұрын
I love my Veloster they are really reliable. I've had 0 problems just stay away from the 2013's and a pothole will always be a pothole every car acts about the same down here in Tennessee the potholes are usually rough and I dodge them really don't want a bent wheel or flat tire

I am changing the oil in a 2013 Veloster Turbo. I normally put my cars on ramps to change the oil but I've never had a car where the drain plug is situated at the FRONT of the drain pan. It looks to me that with the front of the car raised it would keep some oil from draining out and leave several ounces of oil sitting at the back of the pan. Is this a concern or is the pan angled in a way that allows all or most of the oil to drain out?
@Nickwarner366 жыл бұрын
When draining the oil I had no issues getting all out, now always unless you drop the oil pan in any car there will be residual oil left but In this case the same amount of oil that I put in was the same amount that came out with the oil change

@@Nickwarner36 Excellent news, and exactly what I wanted to hear since I really didn't want to try to change the oil with the car sitting flat on the ground :). Thank you for taking the time to make the video and for responding.
