This parent is just evil demanding their poop even before they swallow their food and keep pinching them to force them to poop. It sacrificed one chick in this video and will sacrifice another in a follow up video and keeps pinching the last poor chick. Evil, shouldn't have chicks.

I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often, I see them eating posionous spiders too.

You are mistaken! That is a parent from another nest attempting to steal a chick to feed it's own chicks in another nest. This is a common danger during nesting season.

I just hope the baby isn't hungry because you are standing too close and the mother bird won't bring food to the baby. That would be horrible on your part if you interfered just to make a video. Be respectful of the baby and let it eat.

This is totally false and you are perpetrating misinformation. First, both parents are identical and you cannot identify mother from father. The bird that took the chick is a kidnapper from another nest who has taken that chick to feed it's own chicks. That bird will be fed to the chicks in another nest. And if the parent bird removed the chick, why would it be confused about a missing chick? There are only 2 reasons why a parent would remove one of it's own chicks 1 it's dead, 2 lack of food available to feed the nestlings. Parents do not remove 'sick' birds they have no special ability to 'sense' a bird is sick. This is a false opinion perpetrated by ignorant people wishing to appear knowledgable, which they are NOT. This is a behavior not supported by ornithologists or any scientific study. In otherwords, an old wives tale perpetrating ignorance. There is a very high mortality rate during nesting season for all species as theft of chicks to feed chicks in another nest is common.
