You’re absolutely right! I haven’t seen any better than the set you made last year. I did think about studding a set of tires but right now the the snows so deep the trucks just get high centered on a mound it piles up as it’s trying to plow through lol

@NEO-RC2 күн бұрын
Thank man! Will be doing more on the Atlas for scale looks. For a budget servo I really like those flashhobby. I hear NSDRC makes a good lower priced servo too, just never tried one. For most of my rigs I don’t need a ton of power, but my comp crawler has a great direct power servo from 3Brothers.

@zappa63662 күн бұрын
im gonna be honest man, your background is stealing the show XD all those guitars and amps!! (im a guitarist myself). do you have a review video of the Atlas? I have been thinking of getting one, would be cool to know what it performs like, durability etc. thanks
@NEO-RC2 күн бұрын
Thanks, I’ve gotten a couple people asking about the musical stuff. I haven’t played regularly in over 10 years but debating on making a video about it and creating my own video intro and exit music. I do have a review on the atlas but it’s one of my early videos, like a year to year and a half ago. For the price it’s worth getting but be ready to replace about all the electronics (motor, esc & servo) and shocks. Probably the worst stock shock I’ve ever seen. The stock electronics will get you by but it performs a lot better with a few upgrades, as most RC’s do. It’s pretty durable but definitely more of a trail truck than a crawler. The only real problem I’ve had with it is the pin in the front axle knuckle will back out but that’s after quite a bit of use. Thanks so much for watching and the comment! Really appreciate it 🤙
@NEO-RC2 күн бұрын
Well going back and looking at the first atlas video it’s not really a review, more a run video, but here’s the link to it… kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIewe3Wng6yMoa8si=Cy64nasd8YniPvAr

All good info. The floor is an abyss for sure, lol. With new towers, it should eliminate the servo horn from hitting or limiting throw when turning sharp left. Could be wrong.

I trimmed my front bumper just out to where the light bucket would be. So I'll still be able to add the lights. I figured I might as well just get aggressive with it the first time, knowing I'd be trimming it a second time anyway, lol. Also added some metal rock sliders. Looks much better and no need to modify them for any rubbing issues.
@NEO-RC5 күн бұрын
Even trimming just to where light buckets are, it still rubs but it’ll work. One of the reasons i wanted to try those smaller 4.64 tires, just see if it would clear a little better, but nope still rubs lol I’ll get some metal sliders for it, just gotta pace myself a bit, shuts starting to add up quick lol
@MidwestRCcrawler5 күн бұрын
@@NEO-RC Oh I hear ya! I based my trimming off the Fling Kings. Said, if i can get it to where these just barely rub, I should be good with any other tire I try. The 4.45" Pit Bull tires I have seem perfect for this body.
