How dont that spotless remove the coating what is the difference between spotless an iron remover they kinda do the same thing right just iron remover is stronger
@officialcaliforniadetailin36522 ай бұрын
It’s because it is a very mild acid on the pH scale. Ceramic coatings are highly chemical resistant so using a mild acid won’t strip the coating. Iron remover is going after iron. Acid is going after minerals. Two complete different processes and two completely different contaminations were going after. So if you’re only going after iron, you’re not gonna have minerals taken off and benefit you Iron remover is also a very thick and sticky chemical that could make your coding look flat if you were not rinse it off and then do a demineralizing step. You need to look at it in all angles and get it taken care of the right way

That’s a perfect time to give your coding, some love and boost it. Ceramic detailer from Owners Pride would be what I boost my Ceramic Coating with after the spotless and decontamination Step .

Most informative video I've come across. I'm new to detailing and paint correction. My wife's suv was ceramic coated with Ceramic Pro 2 years ago and they did an annual maintenance 10 months ago. I wash and detail at home and maintain it with very good products like Carpo and Koch Chemie. Why is the hood of her suv beading water so tight but not sheeting off as quickly as other sections of her vehicle? Is it clogged up or why do you think that is?
@officialcaliforniadetailin36522 ай бұрын
Like you mentioned in the video. It’s probably clogged up. The sides of the car collects a lot more minerals than driving through rainy and snowy weather compared to the top of the vehicle that there’s not the same amount of minerals. It should be De mineralized and then boosted. I also always suggest using products from the Coating manufacturer to take care of the coding. One downfall of Ceramic is they don’t have a maintenance line for their customers.

Do the scratches come back once the surface cools?
@officialcaliforniadetailin36523 ай бұрын
Light enough, scratch or swirl that the self healing coding could actually cure out. That would not come back. If it was so aggressive of a scratch that it could not heal from the technology of the coding it would not be one to go away or resurface.

So like most any other ceramic detailer from reputable brand's...except double the cost?
@officialcaliforniadetailin36525 ай бұрын
Any over the counter or pro grade products are going to have their cost to performance to amount of raw product In the chemical ratios Not that non pro grade products can’t work. It designed to be user friendly, and use more/wear off quicker so you can go ahead and buy more from them. Pro grade, more cost.. maybe.. however you use less and lasts longer.
@BigBear--5 ай бұрын
@@officialcaliforniadetailin3652 This is $55 + shipping. For 16 oz. Protection that lasts 6-12 months. Anything from "consumer" Turtle Wax Flex Wax, or Griots Ceramic 3-in-1 to more "pro grade" like Shine Supply Clutch, CarPro Reload 2.0/HydrO2, Gyeon Ceramic Detailer/Wet Coat, Dr. Beasley's Bead Hero, DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss/Quick Beads, etc...are all about half the price or less than this. I'm just saying, I don't see what OP Ceramic Detailer does, performance wise, that justifies the much higher cost than any other similar product. If it does then tell us or show us...maybe I'm missing something.
@BigBear--5 ай бұрын
@@officialcaliforniadetailin3652 I'm not trying to be difficult. I'm serious. If it does do something better than all the others out there, that justifies the higher price, please tell me. Then I'll buy a bottle right now, to try it out. I'm always looking for the best, and I horde products like a madman...if you tell me this is the best, I will give it a shot.

What about self healing coatings and how they differ from others? Are self healing also sic and sio2 or is it something completely different? May be a full video on differences? Thank you.

@OlleyP6 ай бұрын
I've read that self healing coating is more prone to scratching than the regular ceramic coating, because it is softer. What's your take on that?
@officialcaliforniadetailin36526 ай бұрын
I think there could be conversations on each side of this topic that would not be false. I know that when we are applying this Ceramic Coating compared to our other non-self healing ceramic coatings that this product is far more viscous and thick to apply. So we are delivering quite a bit of ceramic into the surface And I don’t know why that would necessarily be softer. But it also can depend on what type of cards it’s on. If you gave me an Audi that has one of the harder paints in the industry with that coating on it compared to a GM black that is the softest paint in the market they are going to perform completely different from one another, even with the same coating

We always like to include at least a basic Polish with any of our Ceramic Coating packages. That way we are producing results. But not taking off more clearcoat than is needed. In this process, we clean our clay, R often, use multiple products and filtered water to give proper lubrication. And we can actually do a fairly aggressive Clay without putting any mooring into the surface. But when we do have an aggressive climber before coding, he gives us a little bit more peace of mind to polish the car. The Technology and detailing chemical advances of today and knowing what you’re doing when doing this. You can play a car without putting marring into the surface compared to back in the day. You clayed the car you had Polish .

Your video and I see that your video is not SEO optimized because your video is not for the targeted audience, your video gets fewer views and channel subscribers get less views. My part of the shop and office will be about 1900 ft.². My film installer directly through the wall in the shop that I’ve been in with him is about 1900 to 2000 ft.² so we’re gonna have lots of wiggle room! We are pretty much good to go on all of our different services. Vynil, PPF,, window tinting, Detailing, paint, chip repair, I Ceramic, Coatings, Wheel Repair , powder, coating, blackout packages, PDR. Some of these are three subcontractors, but we are able to offer so many services for our customers nowadays

Hi, fantastic job on the tint 👍🏻. I also have a 2023 RAV4 hybrid. Should I go with 50% all around including windshield or would it look bad if I go 50% fronts/windshield and 35% on all back windows over the privacy glass? TIA
@officialcaliforniadetailin3652 Жыл бұрын
I never things it’s bad to put little darker in the back windows. If you do want it darker in the back then I would go with that. Keep in mind if you put 50% on your back glass that has factory tint it will already be darker than the 50% on the three front windows.

I got a ceramic coating ab 2 months ago. I just realixed i have several paint chips that i wanted to get a touch up paint kit for. Will the touch up paint pen adhere to the surface and fill in the chips or no since it has a ceramic coating? The tiny chips are superficial and mainly on the bumper, though i do have a tiny one on the driver side door. Any insight is appreciated.
