I've checked the VOI website and can't seem to find answers to my questions, so I thought I'd ask here. - I'm curious about where implants are manufactured. I see mention of France and Canada on the VOI site, but I'm wondering whether implants are actually made there or sent there post-manufacture from another country. - Could you tell me about the TPLO plate composition percentage of each metal used in the alloy? Is there a high amount of cobalt? - Is there data showing corrosion rates of the alloy used in your TPLO plate? This is a concern for dog owners who worry about the Slocum plate corrosion that it was found to cause osteosarcoma in some dogs. - Is the TPLO plate considered "human-grade"? - Is there data showing risks, complications or safety of the HyProtect coating? While implant companies might believe these questions are specific to veterinarians, I, as a dog owner would appreciate learning more about your products, safety and testing. Thank you.

How is best to utilise the divot most effectively? Place your temporary pins, place but not fully tighten a loaded cortical screw, place a proximal locking screw or two and then apply pointed reduction forceps into the divot. Tighten the cortical screw and fill the rest with locking screws?

Thank you for posting this video! The headless compression screws (HCSs) being used are, I presume, veterinary equivalents of the Synthes HCS that was originally used as CBLO was being researched and developed. The Technique Guide for the Synthes brand HCS specifies that the HCS tip is self-drilling, self-tapping, and threaded for optimal retention in cancellous bone. It provides instructions for determining screw length and specifies, "Ensure that the screw tip does not penetrate the distal cortex." They appear to do so in this video. Is that intentional? Also, the most recent version of CBLO has additional hardware per the VOS 2018 poster. Is the second HCS (through the plate) intended to obviate the need for the extra screw/pin and tension band?

Marketing @ VOI Thank you for the explanation! I didn't discern that the 6th screw was cortical. I am a human health care professional whose dog underwent a CBLO in 2013 and the diagonal bone cutting headless compression screw tip (presumably Synthes brand) protruded >1 cm into the gastrocnemius, I believe contributing to his poor outcomes. So, I appreciate VOI's sensitivity to H/CCS length. Thanks, again!
