Hi! I live in the city where lies the Aqueduct you've shown at the beggining of the video. Within the city wall there's still a stretch built by Celtiberians (around the castle, oldest part of the settlement) and dated around 3 millenia ago. We were part of the Arevaci, but bordering the Vaccei and maybe the Carpetani, later heartland of the Visigoths and, as shown by that great water bridge, really influenced by Romans. Therefore... very little remains of that ancient Celtiberian heritage. However, as my ancestors haven't moved very far (at least since the 1600s) and I still carry surnames from Galicia, Asturias or the Basque Country, I think that it'd be quite clear there's some genes arriving from that people in the past. Being my first surname 'shepherd'... I think it fits absolutely with one of the main ocuppations of these tribes!! (funny thing). Very nice video and very well documented.

I like the idea that Excalibur comes from early ignorance about advanced smelting technology. Steel was hard to make back then without a kings recourses and to an illiterate peasant mind the simplest explanation might be that 'he pulls the strong shiny swords out of a stone.'

You give literally zero proof to refute the migration from Scythia to the Celts. You just scoff things as being incredulous (to you). Meanwhile science is beginning to tip more in the favor of the migration being factual.

First thing first, I'm hungarian. Our education of the ancient classic literature is starting with the Sumerian, Akkad's literature, Gilgames, a greek type of ancient epic story of Enkidu and Gilgames, similar like Homer:Iliad and Odyssey, only way more older, and an ancient table-tomb-written translated story. I'd hope I helped! 🇭🇺

You fail to mention that the King who signed the Laws of Wales Act was Welsh born and from a Welsh family himself - Henry Tudor. You also fail to state why he did it. It was to give Welsh people the same legal status as the English, so they would not have discriminatory laws made against them. His killing of an English king in battle is why us Welsh are not crying out for independence today. WE effectively killed their king and replaced him with one of Welsh descent. Every British monarch since then has Welsh ancestry.

It’s interesting, although the author of the show betrays his intentions when he misrepresents the ancient Germanic people as having blonde and light colored hair in almost AI rendering. They most certainly would have had the dark hair and eyes that is common in Anglo-Saxons today. It might make sense to have a few examples with light hair and light eyes, but this author has chosen nearly 90% of their examples to be blonde with blue eyes. If this is manipulated what else is.

I think you’re right about it depicting motion, specifically the motion of time, and it’s usage as a protective symbol against the end of time. A recognition that the wars which they wage is not the final war i.e judgement day or whatever they called it in their culture. A recognition of their place within time in hope that they won’t be removed from it.

😂😂😂For Muscovites: ""Russians" are a superficially Slavinized mixture of Ugro-Finns and Tatars with a share of Mongols, to which the Church Slavonic language of the Bible was imposed, which over time began to be called Russian. The Slavicization of this mixture occurred primarily due to the occupied Rus'-Ukraine and the Rusyns (Ukrainians), Litvins (Belarusians, who are Balts by origin), Poles and Balts. Muscovy’s occupation of not only Rus'-Ukraine, but also the Belarusian (Litvinian) lands of the Pskov region, Smolensk region, Kaluga region, Bryansk region, and the southwestern parts played a huge role in the formation of the “Russians”. Voronezhshcheny (Ukrainian population), Kursk region (Ukrainian population), Belgorod region (Ukrainian population), not to mention the occupation of the Novgorod Republic by Muscovy. Politically and spiritually, Muscovy arose from the Golden Horde of Tatars and Mongols, plus more than three centuries of incorporation into relatives of the Rusyns. (Ukrainians) and Rus'-Ukraine and Litvins (Belarusians) with the endlessly false propaganda of Muscovy about the existence of “Russians” as Slavs. In fact, the Russians are a Slavicized hodgepodge and all their “Slavicness” is a three-hundred-year-old myth without any basis for it.”

I was always curious where the hell russians took that word "sobaka" for a dog when all other slavic languages have some variant of word pes/pies, now I finally know. 😀 As a Czech, I don't know anything about slavic gods and old folklore, we learn more about ancient Greek and Roman folklore than about slavic one in schools. I learned something from Legendy Polskie short videos and that's pretty much all I know, Radegast is just a name of beer for us, maybe it's sad you can say, but it clearly shows that continuity was lost like 1200+ years ago, I am not sure if most of these things are not just some modern artifical construct, because we didn't have any real writting system and when we accepted glagolitic, we accepted even christianity, so how the hell can be Russians, Bulgars and other "such people" that sure that this is correct old slavic folklore and they are always shocked that we don't know anything about that? We have evidences of many celtic settlements and then boom, we were slavic? It doesn't really make sense to me. Most of things they were teaching in schools are very outdated now or it was literally panslavist/communist propaganda. It's weird that Czech language survived, but everything we were supposed to know about our slavic origins disapeared and we know nothing now. Most of what we know about early Czech/Bohemian/Moravian states, rulers and nobility houses are just legends and these legends were mostly standardised and published in 19th century by well known writters. So, are we actually slavic, or we just live in a lie?

It's quite amazing how diversified Europe is, and yet how we all share a rather recent common history. From Scotland to Greece, from Spain to Russia, we all share at least one common ancestor within the last 1,000 years (usually more), and our (Indo-European) languages point to a shared common origin within the last 5,000 years (of course there's always intermarriage with the locals), but I've always found the connections we have just as astonishing as all the incredible differences....and all our Yamnaya ancestors came from the Russian steppe. Crazy to think about! If you've ever looked at a DNA plot map, it's equally amazing how genetically similar most Europeans are. There is such a wide variation in height, skin color, hair color, hair texture, eye color and yet we are genetically closer than other groups of people who exhibit far less phenotypical variety. Here is an example, you can see all the Europeans clustered tightly in the corner of this dna plot map: www.researchgate.net/figure/PCA-of-ancient-samples-Projection-of-ancient-samples-onto-PCA-dimensions-1-and-2-defined_fig2_349510968
