Long ago before my spiritual awakening working with hospice patients and encountering death on many levels, I was just a young girl with a weird curiosity for creepy haunted nj destinations. Mount misery had always been a second home to me as a troubled teen. I never had an issue despite many crazy stories about satanic ritualist and ghosts from the other kids in town. One night we spent the night camping down a tight deer trail that my jeep could barely squeeze down. I came with walkies and a great vibe to have a relaxing night out. Me and a friend of mine made a small fire, and she began talking about the sense of being watched and ask what I thought about spirits in these woods. I laughed and jokingly said "If there are any spirits they're welcome to join the party". Hours passed (around 2am) and my friend starting dozing off in her chair. This is when I heard the sound of a dirt bike start up very close by. Being a part.of the off road scene I found it strange they would start riding at 2am in the morning but after the sound kept getting closer I became very alarmed and kicked the fire out. I woke up my friend and gave her the walkie and told her to get in her jeep and go to bed. After cleaning up I realized I didn't hear the bike anymore. So I went to bed. About 3am I laid my head down to go to sleep and immediately I heard the sound of static or white noise in my jeep. I dug around to find my walkie was malfunctioning. I tried to call my friend because I instinctively knew I messed up and we needed to leave. The dark outside the car seemed so thick and I felt very closterphobic. My phone started to malfunction as well. I turned off the walkie only to have it turn on again. Until I took the batteries out. Suddenly there was a loud kick or thud to the back of my cherokee. And I started to flip out desperate to call someone for help but the phone wasn't working. I made a desperate attempt to scream for my friend to wake up but refused to leave the car. This is when I tried to look for the car keys. Eventually I woke her up and she called a friend of mine to come out with a spare set of keys because mine were gone... he arrived around 4am and we all left the area. I returned two days later hoping to find my keys only to find what was left of them burn in the campfire. Now years later I have a spirit box, and to this day I don't touch it. The sound of the white noise reminds me of the walkie that night and I realized someone or something wanted to talk to me. I no longer mess with any place that has a spiritual attachment as I know how things follow you home as well.

Oh hell yeah, I'm hyped that you finally visited this place. Did you notice even during the day that this place has a negative vibe, like it feels like you're being watched? And I camped back there as well, I heard alot of off pudding sounds that sounded unnatural. For example I heard what sounded like a native Indian chanting, along with a woman moaning, but not in an appropriate way. Also I swear to God that I heard wolves howling, know for a fact that it wasn't wild dog's/coyote's, supposedly back in the day people released wolves in the Pine Barrens.
@walkingcam17 күн бұрын
hi, Carl! Haven't heard from you for while. 🙂 I was disturbed a bit by dirty bike riders when i was camping. Don't know what they did in night forest, but that was noisy. Puddling sounds , is that not beavers? I heard a lot of load splashes that night at Devil's hairbrush (the next video). Only theory i have - swimming beavers. Regarding native Indian chanting, i totally trust you. A year ot two ago, i saw an old native Indian woman collecting some plants among trees. Don't know who she was. If i heard wolves either coyotes in night there, i'd get away immediately. Who knows what they think? Although, i saw coyotes twice in daylight in the Pines.

Good ole Pine Barrens. Where I grew up. Made many night trips into the woods just like this up until I went in the military. Who knows, you may have even passed our farm on the way there. I’m amazed you weren’t ate up by the mosquitos! Just a heads up, there’s more out there than what Mike mentioned, but what he did mention is most of it. There’s a small town near there called Red Lion. Do you know the story behind it?
@walkingcam17 күн бұрын
Hello ! (Sorry, don't know you name 🙂) I have special poison against mosquitos and deer ticks. Treated my clothes, backpack with it. It's supposed to kill any bugs once they try to land on me 😁 Looks like it works. At least, I didn't have to extract ticks from myself for last months. Red Lion, you mean the story of this name origin? or anything else happened there?
@msgtmark30527 күн бұрын
@@walkingcam1 Sorry, my name is Mark. I tend to use pyrethrin when I'm out and about down back. We have a herd of dear that love to go through our fields dropping ticks everywhere. Pyrethrin definitely keeps the deer ticks away. Red Lion... yep, the name origin. They still show up from time to time. Saw one about 200 yards away on the south side of Pemberton in the farm area. But it wasn't interested in chasing a human. 😊We get the occasional bear running around our back yards, too. They eventually make it across 206 and into the woods. Then there's the timber rattlers. They get pretty big. My son found one on the side of road along 70 just chilling out a year or two ago. They should be calling it bedtime at this is a good time of year, though. Be careful of bucks during rut season, too. They'll charge at you to get past you. Anyway, just stay safe out there. The wildlife tends to leave you alone if you don't bother them, but you never know when they may take offense to you being there. Just worry about you being out there and getting hurt... 😊

Maybe NASA or the European Space Agency would be interested in your design.🚀 How Mount Hopeless got its name is well documented.
