I’d get a second opinion from another specialist. It’s a form of myositis but feel like not what you were told in the past. As not all signs will be present and if steroids don’t work need to try another management therapy.

I get this trimming a massive hedge can't hold a glass after for a day hands shake like mad

Huh, so it happens to others, too. I thought I'd try trimming some bushes, and it's been several hours and I can still sense a slight shake (it was never super bad, but it was noticeable right after). I'll probably be sore tomorrow. I've found some interesting websites that mention such a thing after excercising and that it's just muscles that are too exhausted to work properly. Sounds like it'd go away after a night of sleep if not sooner.
