@@dillontipton7281 This is a hard question to answer, I don't care what type of degree you have. A few hours after lung surgery I was walking to the washroom. I have a very high tolerance for pain so I went through the whole thing with no pain medication. The only hiccup I had was a stop eating about 3 weeks after surgery and lost a ton of weight.

@@jayson3853 Yes I did I had part of my left upper lung node removed, I also had 16 weeks of every intense chemotherapy. The chemo actually made me sicker than the lung cancer did, in fact I found out I had lung cancer by accident .

​@@jayson3853 Yes I had surgery I had my upper left lung node removed. 16 weeks of very intensive chemotherapy. They tried to give me 30 mg oxycodone I refused.

​@@jayson3853 If you are going in for surgery, just remember everyone is different my experience might not be your experience. What I can tell you is, try to eat gain weight and get as healthy as you can before the surgery, try to stay in a upbeat mood, circumcised yourself from anything that makes you unhappy. If you go through chemotherapy just know it's going to be hard, but force yourself to eat. During my 16 weeks of chemotherapy we lost a couple of patients that came at the same time I came in. The patients that passed away was the patients that was real small and you can tell they wasn't eating.

@jayson3853 first of all if you are getting ready to have this type of surgery or you have had this type of surgery, my best wishes to you. To answer your question yes I have my upper left lung node removed. Just remember everyone is different, I have a high tolerance for pain so I pretty much went through the whole surgery without pain medication. The advice I can give you so you don't lose about 50 lbs like I did, before you go in to have your surgery gain as much healthy weight as you can and try to maintain it. They're going to give you chemo, at least they gave me 16 weeks of chemo. During chemotherapy it's important for you to maintain a healthy weight and some days you may have to force yourself to eat, this is where those protein shakes like Boost, Ensure and Muscle Milk comes in. Once you are finished with chemotherapy can you get to ring that Bell or hit the gong, if you get the ring the bell give it a couple of extra rings, and if it's the gong put a little extra muscle into it, you definitely deserved to that means you are a survivor and you made it to the end.
