Feel yr pain there Dave was working on tigs the other day it was -4 bit too cold really litrelly my hands a were sticking to my spanner’s yea them bolts will come out with a bit of heat , if not drill them out with a carbide bit m8

@@ianharris2407if you decide to take one on take a really good look at the rust areas manly on the rear end lift out the rear seat base is a must . Let me know if you go down that route

Will do I’m paint and panel for a living so don’t mind something that wants a bit and re paint etc but is mechanically ok so if you hear of anything 👍🏻👍🏻you defo right certainly don’t want a rot box and parts availability seems a bit scary don’t think I’m located to far away from yourselfs thanks again Ian .

You can't not love any Ford of this era Mondeo, Focus or Fiesta. You definitely cant say that of the white goods they turn out nowadays, great video keep up with the hard work.

Your channel is 'ST220 Restorations' and you seem very knowledgeable and experienced with these cars. I know you're working on your own cars but have you considered setting up a business with the name ST220 Restorations and doing the kind of work you do on your own cars but with customers' cars and them paying you to do this work? I have an ST220 and I'd like to restore/renovate the underside of the car/suspension to the standard that you've achieved in your videos, BUT (1) I don't have the premises, tools or expertise to do this work myself and (2) my local Ford dealer only does routine servicing and mechanical jobs, they're not really into restoration work. I'm sure you'd find plenty of customers because I haven't found one ST220 specialist in the UK offering restoration work and for sure I'd be one of your customers. Even if you don't want to start a full-time restoration business would you consider doing restoration work for your subscribers? You've got 790 (including me) so I don't think you'd be short of work! Second question: your workshop looks like an Aladdin's Cave of new and used ST220 parts. Would you consider selling any of those? Also, as a suggestion pls let us know in your vids which parts you can still get from Ford and where you source your other parts because this is now the #1 headache I and probably other ST220 owners have keeping these cars on the road. Keep up the good work, always enjoy your videos and updates 😄

@@lolmeri well the weak part is they suffer from oil leaks so if you keep on top then they are a great engine and use good quality oil

I really like the Sea Grey for being quite understated. The interior definitely isn't! My son has had his ST 2.2 diesel hatch converted to twin exhaust. Looks just how he wanted it and has improved the sound a bit. I wouldn't be driving it far with that fuel leak! Your attention to quality, detail and bargains is impressive.

I've been watching all your videos, and I'm a new subscriber, between you and Dunk your the gods of these cars, you've both got so much passion in making these cars better from factory it's amazing to see. Got a few questions, if you don't mind me asking, one is, did you buy the BC coilovers from Ebay or BC Racing and what version are they V1 or VT and do you have spacers on your performance blue with the 19" RS alloys, if so is it the usual 20mm all round? I'm after a set of RS alloys inc tyres, as I've just managed to get a replacement front bumper set of wings and front grill, all in performance blue, but bumper will still need a paint. Anyway I'm enjoying your videos and watching the progress of the unit, and the fleet of ST220's you've got.

@@johnharvey3464 thanks John Answer to your question I have 4/5 sets of bc I brought few second hand (rebuilt one set as u can buy all the bits ) New ones I got of eBay and they are the series V1 With the rs rims u have to use at least a 15mm spacers on the rear I gone with 15mm all round I use the spacers which u get extended bolts more expensive but better in my opinion As I don’t like the bolt one ones Thanks for watching and commenting Hopefully u enjoy the upcoming videos

@st220saloonrestorations Thanks for the quick reply, I'm in the process of doing up my car, so your help and guidance is appreciated, so the 15mm spacers you've described where would I go to purchase these please, as I've been looking at Eibach 20mm or Direnza 20mm ones, but if your saying 15mm is the way to go I'll go with what you recommend, as I'm trying to do everything on a budget, but once you add new BC coilovers, RS 19"alloys inc new tyres, repaint most of my car, it is starting to add up, luckily I've got a loan which has made me happy so I can get my car back to where it should be, condition wise and mechanical wise. So if there is anything in performance blue or anything else you may want to sell me I'd be very interested. 👍🏼😊
