The title doesn't really match the video itself. Most of the things included in the video are prefrences of the author and not general tips on making an overall good OC. In the video they only talk about soft and realistic characters, which already would alter the title to "Personal suggestions for making OC in soft and realism styles". They do mention that you can have your own preference, but they really drop the important parts of a good OC. Good OC is not just style, it's the details, the story, the personality. I wouldn't have an issue if the title said anything about the design or their preference specifically. But is good OC really just a pleasant visual to people? Is there really nothing else to it? I'm not hating on the author by any means, there are people who like and will like the video. And I personally don't think that the video is bad. But it still bugs me that people call a good OC the character that is highly aligned with their preference in aesthetics rather than OC's unique artistic expression of memories and emotions in design and story. I will highlight that this all is just an opinion of nerd that rarely looks at the trees outside. Anyway, have a nice time of the day that is currently for you!
